Only a small point, but the TV in the room could have been a bit bigger.

Pub, bar area, restaurant and rooms have all been refurbished to a very high standard. Good selection of ales in the pub and the food was excellent - both dinner and breakfast, and with regards to both quality and value for money. The staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and well equipped, with an excellent shower!

We were so delighted this gorgeous hotel was in a small rural village. We were delighted with our room in the converted stables. Great meals, attentive, informative and friendly staff. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

The bathroom to the property could have been cleaned a little better. The bathroom was quite dusty on hand rails, bars etc but didn’t effect our stay and it was only 1 night

Staff were friendly and hospitable. The lunch food was amazing and the breakfast excellent.

The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious even with two twin beds. The location is perfect within the small hamlet, only a short drive from Buxton and Chatsworth House. The food at the pub is also brilliant and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

During my stay there was nothing that would have made the stay any more pleasant than it was.

The Inn is set in a beautiful location and everyone, including the owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic evening meal of traditional liver and bacon, which you no rarely see on menu's these days. Breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh and much of it appeared to be local produce from the colour of the eggs to the taste of the bacon and sausages. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, with plenty of tea & coffee making facilities provided, even supplying oat milk as well as normal millk - a thoughtful touch! I would definitely visit again.
