Very noisy from the bar downstairs (sat) till very late, no top ups in the room (milk,tea, coffee etc) said we have to contact Sandy Mount House because they own upstairs

Maybe a slightly larger table\coffee making facility would be welcome although adequate for the brief time we spent in the room

The room was clean and tidy with a nice view, the access and book in and out was nice and easy. The staff attached to the pub the rooms are located at were welcoming and helpful

A little basic to our usual choice, but the shower was good and the room was clean. The bed was smaller than we are used to, and not overly comfy, but it did the trick. Would stay again.

The room was quite cold. We got 0 sleep on the 2nd night of our stay due to what sounded like the moving of furniture and constant footsteps from above us.

Great view from our window. The Indian restaurant attached to the property was fantastic, great food and hospitality. The breakfast at the sister hotel was spot on, great food and staff.

Dirty poor condition of the hotel - shower had exposed electric wires, dirt filled carpet marked from entrance door throughout. Noise from restaurant and their staff until 1.20 am - noise from staff below as they came up to sleep as well as air con unit all night - didn’t sleep and owners didn’t care - no email ever answered - check out the “superb” comments that get dropped in to offset the poor ratings!! also checkout the poor reviews on other well known review sites which confirm why previous visitors no longer visit. Now cut up into 3 income let’s of take out food - pub & self serve B&B it’s a sad end to what was a previously well run B&B where people cared. We won’t be using again.

The exterior of the hotel and the car parking area was shabby and made a bad ‘first impression’. The noise from people outside the hotel was totally unacceptable. Girls screaming, men shouting and cars sounding horns at 1.15am. Such a shame for the hotel to be let down like this, as the staff from downstairs were extremely helpful.

The cleanliness of the bedding. The breakfast at the sister hotel was superb. The staff were very helpful.

We never saw anyone to do with letting the room. The WiFi didn’t work and this was an issue. Tried to call the owners but there was no answer from either number provided. Tried sending a text and that wouldn’t go-presumably the mobile was switched off

It was very convenient being above the Indian restaurant. It was well located for getting to the race circuit.

I emailed privately my concerns yet received no reply a week later so sadly this is what we found. The main bed rooms are looked after as best as they can, the journey to your room dirty and left to crumble. You let yourself in and as there’s no greeting or hotel staff after 10.30 other guests feel it’s ok to wake everyone at 1.30am. My mothers room was above the now separate take away / restaurant with the noise of the fan keeping her awake throughout. We left the bathroom towel tail on as her radiator didn’t work leaving a cold room. We then found exposed electric cables under the shower so asked her to use ours. Disappointingly from a pot holed carpark full of mud puddles to a door mat with no coir rug left, it’s down to the thick pile carpet to wipe the muck off Pub, restaurant visitor, take out customers plus sleeping guests to Absorb what ever is stepped in. Seriously why have you let such a great B&B be so run down!. We thought we had turned up at the wrong place yet having been several times before wanted to treat our mum to a short get away by the sea. Your now main hotel Sandy mount provided a great breakfast yet for the price of one of its tables leave the B&B with dirt bashed doors carpet and decoration that makes you feel far from special as you arrive at your room. Please invest.

Breakfast at the sister hotel sandy mount was wonderful as where the new mattress's and having been 3 times before it a great location near the beach.

It wasn't like the room advertised The room was noisy as it was above the kitchen and the pub .the extraction to the kitchen was below our room and was loud The entrance and staircase was very run down in need of updating and the door to the pub constantly was slammed which could be heard from our room .the bed was uncomfortable matrace in poor condition

The smell of the whole building isn't pleasant. The rooms are extremely run down. The smell of the toilets is very strong. Needs a make over and a good lick of paint.

The property is a run down pub , stinks of stale smoke and is in the middle of an estate . We had a 5 minute walk , in the rain,to their sister hotel for breakfast

The room we were allocated wasn’t the one on our booking photos so we were slightly disappointed we didn’t get the large window with the view, but our room was still lovely.

Lovely, clean room. Fantastic little cosy bar with roaring fire and friendly staff.
