I liked everything about my stay. The only thing to be aware of is the rooms are not accessible to full time wheelchair users as they all require the use of stairs.

The room was spacious and had a lot of light. The staff were also friendly on the reception desk, and the free continental breakfast was really good.. The room was also very clean.

The bar downstairs was very noisy until quite late, and you could hear everything as people then walked to their rooms. There was no bath mat so the bathroom floor got wet after I had a shower. I dried it with the hand towel which I noticed was then filthy. The lights above the bed didn't work.

The room was reasonably priced and near to where I needed to be.

Needs a bit off updating and the breakfast needs bigger variety and nicer presentation and should be some staff avaliable at the breakfast time to provide cooked breakfast option between 7 and maybe 8-30 and keep the continental breakfast choices off stuff supplied instead off having to find member off staff to do this they only offer cooked breakfast after 11 am which is nearer lunch time? the whole building needs some upgrading in saying that the staff were friendly and served you the best they could and the owners should be thankfully for there loyalty

Shower had poor, cool water flow but if did the job. The threat of a 100 quid fine if car wasn’t registered for the car park - Some quirky thing about leaving, returning and having to re-register a vehicle each time. I was told that when the students are back in town this place can be very noisy (bar below packed etc).

Breakfast was (unexpectedly) included. Although it’s an old school building everything works and it was clean. Bar downstairs. Relaxed atmosphere, staff were great.

how un level the stairs and floors were, our bed was on a slant so couldn’t sleep properly, bathroom door didn’t close properly, bath panel broken

Nothing really , it was fine , beds were very soft , too soft at times but all Was adequate and great location. !

This was a great place to stay for a few nights I was on a working trip and it was good to be so central and the bar downstairs was a good place at the end on the day for a chill down drink !

We had to pay £100 deposit for damages yet the room had cigarette burn marks on the blinds and broken wardrobe, broke light, missing draw etc. so not sure how they monitor any new damages from old. Also have to wait a while for my deposit back as it was in a hold on my credit card as it had said £50 so I didn’t have enough cash.

It was an easy check in and in a good area.

The mattress and pillows were REALLY soft. Never felt a bed so soft. Not sure I liked it that much though.

I liked that Angela did her best to see I was comfortable in my room ASAP. That turned out to be a great help to me. Other staff were friendly and I spent a while talking to Michael. What a guid lad. There was a discount on food and drinks and breakfast, despite missing it in the end. :( Lol

Bar blanc was very busy and full of rowdy youngsters drinking all day long. Did not dine here for this reason. The noise could be heard from bedrooms. Could not check in until 2pm on the dot so kept waiting even longer due to people checking in at same time. Same thing with 11am check out kept waiting.

Our room 249 was on the ground floor but a little noisy due adjacent to slamming doors.

Nice location in a lively area. Free parking in back which is scarce in this area.
