The stairway up to the room was quite steep but the payoff was a view of the cathedral so it was fine with us.

Our room was well appointed, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Not really anything but the bathroom could do with a little TLC but was fine to use and a shelf in the bathroom or small cabinet to put your toiletries on/in would be great . A dressing table of some sort would also be an added bonus

Breakfast excellent good choice also Sunday roast. Location excellent near to town centre and other pubs and restaurants the cathedral is a 3min walk and the palace about 5mins max great Saturday market and 20mins to Cheddar Gorge by car. Room clean and had hairdryer and all you need for a stay. Staff great nothing too much trouble friendly and accommodating

    Sink in the Bedroom

Have stayed here before. This time noticed the shower was in need of work. Sink inside the bedroom? On this occasion there was also a problem with the TV service. It was not working

Breakfast could have been better...Room was comfortable but a little tired.

Excellent central location, with a lovely bar area serving local ales and cider. There was a young team of staff who were friendly and helpful. Live music was great.

When wet the outside stairs to the bedroom became difficult, however due to the age of the building I cannot see any other alternative way of reaching the room. This was a small inconvenience when taking the whole aspect of our stay at the White Hart which was very good.

We had plenty of space in the room and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the shower facilities was excellent. Plenty of choice for breakfast, anything that was cooked was freshly done.

Bed too soft for me, but that is a personal choice. We had asked for a twin. It was a double. But it wasn't the end of the world. Shame there isn't any parking. The nearest option is Union Street or Waitrose for 24 hrs.

Great location, friendly staff Clean, comfortable. GVFM. Breakfast was nice too. Fab pub offering great variety of ales!

Room was not "superior" double as advertised- no sofa area or neals yard toiletries as promised. Room was set back from pub which was nice as less noisy. Beds were comfortable but otherwise very basic Room, the breakfast was stressful as the waiting staff was rushing around solo trying to manage everything, breakfast area was lacking cleanliness, breakfast itself was ok- bacon was delicious though! Definitely over priced and the bathroom in the room was really needed a bit of love and care.

Perfect location for market Square and cathedral, great beer selections in the pub

Stayed at White Hart a couple of times now. The first time we had a room inside the hotel main building, (with dog) This time we were placed in the courtyard (dog area?). There is a very steep staircase up to the balcony rooms. My hubby registered blind, minimal sight, found this difficult. The manager did try and re house us inside, but was fully booked. Bedroom has a full length curtain over door. Unfortunately, lets light in from balcony lights. Could do with a black out curtain.

White Hart situated very close to Wells Cathedral, walking distance. The bed room, was lovely, tea/coffee facilities.Comfy bed, clean bathroom. Option of continental or cooked breakfast. Good selection!
