We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Fantastic value for a room close to the centre of town. On arrival the receptionist sold us a parking voucher that allowed us to park right outside the hotel for just £2.00 for the whole day until 11:00 am the check-out day. A fantastic Eastbourne Council scheme to encourage people to stay in local hotels. Well down Eastbourne Council! The room was a good size and we were delighted with the "packed breakfast" which we took down to the beach on one morning and ate in our room on the other. It might not be the finest breakfast ever, but was perfect for our needs and included in the price. We hope to stay again!

United KingdomThe shower could do with an upgrade. It's a shower over the bath with a fabric curtain and the temperature control is a little unpredictable making it hot or cold with very little warning.
The staff were lovely - nothing was a problem. The dogs were VERY welcomed and looked after. They had their own beds, bowls and treats. We have a beautiful view with two seats and a small table in the bay window. Perfect for what we needed. The Victorian lift was great!

When sitting down, at the window, we really only had a view of the scaffolding. We had paid extra for a partial view of the sea, so I guess this was it. Cooked breakfast would have been lovely, though there were no facilities for this. Having said all this, we DID enjoy our stay. Thank you.
Perfect situation, friendly, polite staff. The breakfast was a bonus, but we could have done with some plates...as it was awkward to butter and jam the croissants.

United KingdomThe hotel fascia is currently being renovated. Ask for a room away from the scaffolding.
The staff are brilliant. Very friendly, they go above and beyond. I asked if they could possibly put a note in our room saying Happy Anniversary. When we arrived there was a lovely gold Happy Anniversary message printed on A4 paper by the pillows, there were red cushions and a rose petal heart made from synthetic petals. It was very lovely. The beds are very comfy and the room decor is attractive. It's in a great location with lovely views of the beach. This was our second visit this year. Thank you!
