Only minor negative was that we had to keep our dog on a lead when using the garden as the fence to the sheep field was low enough for her to jump.

Accommodation was perfect, clean, spacious & cosy with everything we needed provided including thoughtful extras like farm eggs. The view over the valley was stunning.

Beautiful stone cottage in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Peaceful, remote, comfortable & cosy. Surrounded by amazing countryside. Ideally located for all that the brecon Beacons has to offer.

This was a an immaculately refurbished cottage in a quiet location within the mid Wales hills. The owner was super helpful and ensured our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The cottage is spacious, warm and immaculately clean but retains an authentic feel that makes it a special place to stay. We loved our visit.

Bathroom needs a bit of TLC, nothing drastic. Rest of the house was delightful

Delightful cottage in a peaceful location. Nicely furnished and with thoughtful additions such as towels for wet dogs in the laundry room, games & books to pass away a few hours. Felt so at home within an hour of arriving and sad to leave.

Due to its riverside location and also being next to livestock, there were a lot of flies and bugs, this didn't bother us too much but it is something to note.

Wern Ddu was in a perfectly quiet and idyllic location with beautiful indoor and outdoor space. Very generous in size with comfortable sofas and beds, it was the perfect place to unwind after a day in the Beacons. Lovely big bath, useful washing machine, fully equipped kitchen and close to nature. Also in the cottage was a very useful information pack including suggestions of things to see and do and where to eat and shop. We were sad to leave it behind!

This is a superb cottage in beautiful surroundings and lovely views. The cottage is well equipped ,spacious and a perfect place to chill and relax in a quiet and tranquil setting. Great communication with the host and very welcoming.

I can honestly say that there was nothing we didn't like.

We liked the cottage itself, the decor and the furnishings. The fireplace and the stairs are a lovely feature. We liked the location with it being off the beaten track yet within an easy drive of the Visitor Centre (which we recommend especially as they do Gluten Free bread and cake!), walks and other places of interest. We loved being able to have the door open and listen to the stream and the birds and would love to visit again in the summer when it is warmer to take advantage of the outdoor seating areas. Having been on many treks, the outside loo is one of the poshest I have encountered.

We honestly couldn't fault Georgina's cottage - it far exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to be back.

What a gem of a cottage! Georgina was a fantastic host from start to finish - professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. The guide that she prepared was also very useful for local attractions and amenities. The cottage itself is made to a high standard and with great care - the pictures don't do it justice, especially the stunning log burner and stone staircase. There were lots of logs available for us to use and some lovely decorations dotted around the cottage which made it feel very homely. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the cookware and utensils you might need. Great selection of books and games too. The location was a real bonus - set in a quiet place, right next to a lovely little river you can walk along and surrounded by great views. It's also only 15 minutes away from Pen-y-fan and not much further away from the fabulous waterfalls. What else could you want from a holiday in the Brecon Beacons!?

A beautiful place. A big Cottage with a big living room and kitchen. Everything you need was there! It looks like that you are in the middle of nowhere! Nice BBQ place. Good contact with the host and good and clear information. We loved our stay at Wern Ddu!
