To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomEverything is super old which wasn’t really an issue but just saying so if it’s not everyone’s taste. The radiator was off all night, this was a big issue as it was not end of March, the room was freezing cold. Hotel’s breakfast was super super basic, it’s not worth a penny, wrongest decision to spend £30 on the most awful breakfast ever. The restaurant guy was not welcoming at all, he also tried to convince us to have the cooked breakfast which was more expensive.
Room size was great. The location was superb for our purposes which was going to a concert at OVO Arena, 5 mins walk.

United KingdomI feel like a few things could have been easily resolved to put this hotel to a 10 rating. The hotel alarm went off randomly around 6am which startled us. It wasn't a fire drill. The plug hole of the shower made a lot of noise. There isn't a hairdryer, which most basic hotels provide. There wasn't enough body wash between 3 of us. Provided 3 shampoos and 2 body washes. Bearing in mind they are in very small tubes. There isn't anywhere to put the body wash/shampoo whilst having a shower.
