No negatives. Loved our perfect stay.

Quiet and so peaceful. Huge gardens feel like you are staying in paradise. Extremely well equipped with luxurious feel. Very short walk to shopping area and pubs. Off street parking outside the cottage. Hosts were fantastic, friendly, available but left us on our own to relax and left various items to get us going. Beautiful areas to walk. Quick drive to many small and large towns with gorgeous scenery along the way.

It was a wonderful stay. The location is incredible with walking distance to the shops and restaurants, but also a true countryside feel to it with a beautiful garden, stream and Weir. Sean was a great host and very helpful throughout. Highly recommended!

Everything was wonderful; I can't find a single thing to criticise.

We rented this lovely cottage for two nights , and it was one of the most delightful experiences we've ever had. The setting boasts stunning landscapes with a large, well-maintained garden and a canal with a waterfall, providing a soothing, continuous background sound of flowing water. Mornings were a treat, waking up to the melodious songs of birds. The host and owner Mr.Shane, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was pleasant and comfortable. I was thoroughly impressed by their hospitality. The cottage's location is perfect, just a short walk from the town center, making it easy to access shops, restaurants, and pubs. We would definitely book this place again in the near future for more of the same pleasant experience.

The property was perfect!! The host was very friendly and welcoming. We feel the facilities were above and beyond what we expected. The garden was a fantastic view and perfect little nook inside to watch the ducks while having a morning coffee. We were unlucky with the weather so were unable to make full use so we will return in better weather as we all wanted to enjoy the garden more. Very comfortable sleep and just a pleasure to be in the cottage.

Good communication from the owner from the moment we booked until the time we arrived. Met us at the property to let us in, explained how everything in the house worked and recommended good places to visit and eat in the town and surrounding area.

Nothing to dislike.

The owner Shane met us on arrival and showed us details around the property for use of appliances, spaces, garden etc. Friendly and helpful at all times. Especially accommodating for my 87 year old mother, offering access to a ground floor toilet. The property has excellent kitchen and shower room with high quality appliances, plenty of space in the kitchen. Large living room space with lovely outdoor decking area to sit and enjoy the stunning garden view. We didn't barbecue but there is one available. I recommend staying at weir cottage for great facilities, quiet, beautiful garden and close to shops, pubs etc. Good base to explore the new forest. Would stay again.

The cottage is better in person compared to the pictures, and the pictures were beautiful. The garden in particular was gorgeous and relaxing, I could spend all day there.

We loved everything about the cottage. It was spacious, very well equipped, a garden to die for, so beautiful. Shane is a very friendly host. We felt so welcome with all the attentive gifts that were there. Fantastic beds, haven’t slept this good in years. We are definitely planning to come back and highly recommend Weir Cottage.

Shane has worked very hard to create perfection. landscaping work very impressive. beautiful water ways and pond. although central to town, absolutely no noise. you would think you are in the countryside, especially if you rise for the dawn chorus. well don Shane, will recommend and return .

It was an absolutely beautiful Cottage and Garden! Cannot fault it. Every attention to detail thought of. Complimentary Prosecco in the fridge a lovely welcome! So close to town and lovely pubs/restaurants. Cannot recommend staying here enough! We will definitely be retuning. Thankyou Shane

We were happy with everything.

Our time at Weir Cottage went too quickly! We greatly enjoyed our 2 nights at this lovely spot - an ideal combination of a classic thatched cottage exterior with a beautifully appointed contemporary interior. Shane's attention to detail and excellent liaison were really appreciated - everything we needed for a relaxing stay was provided. And then there was the GARDEN! - a real oasis of peace! Our thanks to Shane (and to Daisy) for our short but memorable stay.

Do not have any negatives

The property is absolutely charming- a thatched cottage in the beautiful New Forest which has been totally renovated to modern standards. It is semi detached and there is a small additional cottage on the site within the small town. It is in 2 acres of ground which you have access to with a stream etc running through the grounds. There is plenty of garden space to quietly enjoy between the 3 properties and walking into town is right on your doorstep. It is so tranquil but has the advantage of shops, restaurants etc immediately adjacent. The finishes to the cottage are to the highest modern standards and design throughout but blended to being in a thatched cottage. No creaking floors or crafty windows and the cleanliness and facilities were superb.

Very comfortable, well equipped, an amazing garden just off a nice high street with good places to eat. The host was friendly and added a couple of little touches which helped make the stay.
