We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomSign outside our room unloose and hitting against the wall in the wind, very warm room so needs the window open. Receptionist not aware of food times in the bar, didn’t tell us where breakfast was served and unaware of the local area when asked a question!
Our room was 207, had a sea view that would be lovely on a clear day! Good breakfast.

United KingdomGiven the obvious age and position of the building there will always be on-going maintenance, but rain came through my ceiling during the early hours. (It was shocking weather). The night porter came with a bucket and towel, he told me there were no other rooms available on the floor I was on (my friends where on this floor) so my option was to stay put for the rest of the night. I reported to reception the next morning, they were able to move me to the room next door to the one I was in... totally conflicting what the night-porter told me. meh?
Food was good. Staff were helpful Bar area was warm and pleasant, but would have been nice if it was open more for more hours during the Christmas period . Room sizes were good. Location was stunning.

United KingdomEven before we even opened the door THERE WAS AN HORRENDOUS SCHREECHING SOUND, so we were a little nervous of even opening it. It turned out the window was DEFINITELY NOT KEEPING THE DREADFUL SOUND OF THE WIND OUT or even softening it down at all. We went down for dinner and then retired early as on our way to Taunton for Christmas with our Family, at that point the sound wasn't quite so noisy. BUT at approx 4 a.m. the dreadful noise of the wind returned and we couldn't sleep just on and off really. However we told the manager it needs Triple or stronger glazing on that window definitely. He was extremely helpful and pleasant deducted approx 17% from our bill . You have a lovely Hotel & STaff there you just need to soundproof the Lovely rooms that overlook the Sea.

United KingdomWe have stayed at this hotel many times previously. Our room had an old and very firm mattress and the springs in the devan did cause some discomfort. There were no hooks or a shelf in the bathroom which meant that there was no storage for bags etc.
We were visiting family who live nearby so the location is excellent. The staff were brilliant and the room was ok if a little tired.

NetherlandsAs others mentioned, the property is very dated, there are marks on the walls and tears in the ceiling. The bathroom was in a very bad state and we could hear each step of the person above us with a squeaking sound.
The location is beautiful and views from the rooms with view are stunning.

United KingdomFirst room 501 was small and noisy.. It's an old building and we appreciate there will be some minor problems. Bathrooms could do with upgrading but of course that's costly.
We had a noise problem due to the wind howling in the first room allocated. I spoke to reception and they very kindly changed our room.
