Unfortunately our room was above the boiler house and the boiler ran quite noisily most of the night, shutting the windows did not help either, and made for a disturbed sleep.

The breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable, parking excellent

The whole place needs to be redecorated. Lovely old building but really needs brightening up. Extension lead for the bedroom side lights! Is that safe? Shower controls not clear, top dial did nothing , lower dial temperamental Also need a slip mat or equivalent in the bath.

Location is lovely, breakfast good , friendly staff

The heating was on way too high throughout the building. I had to keep the bedroom window open through the night to be able to sleep and because they are sash windows they were banging against the frame all night preventing me from sleeping properly.

The faculties were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

After going out in the evening we arrived back at 9.40pm to find the front doors locked and the ground floor in almost darkness. Despite being told the doors are locked at 10pm. The bar was closed so no chance of the night cap we would have liked.

Breakfast was good. Bed's very comfortable.

Reception staff ok when first arrived but not overly friendly after that A long way to carry drinks out to the balcony Key card didn’t work for our room as something was wrong with it. We were transferred to another room with the same rating but clearly a lot smaller than the original (although I was told it was the same). I was told there was no alternative unless we wanted to move again for the second night. A bit of honesty would have been better! Shower very weak and took ages for hot water to come through. A bit dusty in places in our room TV picture was pixelated and not watchable.

Bar staff were fast Breakfast staff were polite & helpful Location was excellent Free parking on site Balcony area overlooking the sea Restaurant overlooking the sea

Hotel is a bit tired and could do with a facelift. Restaurant, whilst having great outlook, was slightly stuffy and menu could benefit from some improvement. One also wonders why breakfast is served differently i.e. buffet one day to freshly cooked and served the next.

Comfortable dated victorian hotel in excellent location with great views. All staff very amenable and pleasantly helpful.

The location was lovely, not far from Hill Road shops and restaurants and close to Clevedon Prom and Pier. It was also very convenient for a day trip into Bristol, being only 20 to 30 minutes from Clifton Village.

Small bed & bedroom in eaves-no view but could hear the road. Skylight window has no blind on it so morning rays lit up the room early. It all felt a little rundown. Bathroom needs updating. Paint peeling off the walls in corridor. The decor is so dark for such a beautiful building which could look amazing.

Lovely staff, professional and accommodating. Large lounge area separate from bar. Good parking and fabulous location only 1 minute walk from town/beach. Good breakfast but quite expensive £25 for 2 people.

The shower didn’t work which was a shame as the rest of the room was great. As it’s an older hotel, the floorboards creak a bit so noise can be heard from rooms above but this didn’t bother us.

Fantastic location with great views of the Bristol Channel. A traditional style hotel, with lovely high ceilings. Our room (409,with sea view) was worth paying the extra for- spacious and well decorated with large, very comfy bed. Staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is close to local amenities- about a 10-15 min walk to the seafront and restaurants/ shops.
