We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere were some very 80s looking finishes in our room like a red and silver padded headboard and a carpet on the window seat that looks like it came from a bus. Bit of a shame when everything else is done to a high standard.
The staff were fantastic, particularly the night receptionist who made us feel very welcome when he checked us in at 1:30.am. Very spacious and well equipped room. Have stayed here before and would stay here again.

United KingdomBreakfast, bread was mouldy for toast. Advised staff, but then had to chase staff for a satisfactory outcome. Seemingly no line of communication, very poor.
Room was fine although tired and in need of some tidying, as unfortunately were other areas of the hotel. Nothing major as such just makes it then difficult to justify the cosy!

United KingdomRegrettably we requested two twin rooms, and even after sending an email to reconfim this, and receiving a reply confirming that all was as we wanted it, when we arrived we were told they only had double rooms! After a long discussion, the receptionist did resolve the issue by giving as 4 different rooms, and promised that by the following day we would have our two twin rooms sorted. However, the we retuned to the hotel the following evening, we once again had to resolve the same issue. Which was resolved, but then again we had to enter into a long conversation for this to happen.
The location was great and where we need it to be, the car park is small but we managed to park on both evenings. The hotel was nice, the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable

However, the rooms were extremely hot (although it was a warm day), there was quite a lot of dust on the bedside tables and the noise from the high street was quite loud. These were minor quarms but nothing that would stop me staying at this hotel again!
The staff at Villiers were absolutely incredible! I could not have asked for better service from check in until the day after. Every staff member went out of their way to help, were welcoming and friendly. Myself and friend had travelled a long way to this hotel and did not know the area at all. The staff were more than accommodating from allowing early check in to booking public transport to our venue and the train station the following day. Thank you so much for excellent customer service and a welcoming stay!

United KingdomTap over basin in the bathroom was very short therefore full pressure was needed on the tap each time it was used for the water to reach the basin and not leak over the surrounding area.
Location was perfect especially as attending an event at Silverstone. Had breakfast and one evening meal during stay both were excellent. Room was spacious and very clean.

Lovely little boutique hotel with great furnishings and location. Plus a car park. If the main one is full there is an overflow car park also. Holly on the front desk was really friendly and helpful.

United KingdomOne thing could improve our score - a fridge in the room. It was baking hot when we stayed and it was impossible to keep drinking water cold. Also, it is worth noting that Room 107 had a shower over the bath so not too easy to use for the less mobile guest.
The hotel was lovely, the staff were so helpful and friendly. We were in a Standard Room which was a decent size. The bed was comfortable and the towels were big and fluffy. Breakfast was outstanding and dinner was very good too.
