Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israel-The power sockets near the main bed were without electricity -The sink in the room had no water supply The staff was extremely polite, but none of them had the slightest idea of how to handle the problems described above
The room was completely equipped with all the technik which makes you feel like at home. For example it has: -european style power sockets -toaster -microwave oven -electric kettle -portable aircon -fan -washer and dryer on the balcony -dishes sets, cups, plates etc. So looks like heaven for tourists who want to save money but meanwhile there were a few cons..

UKThe sofa beds weren't comfortable, even with 2 mattress toppers we could still feel the hard parts underneath The shower drain was blocked when we arrived but it was quickly sorted after reporting the problem on the next day The windows were big and heavy, a bit hard to operate at first, only one closer to the bed opened - the building is old and it's not a hotel's fault but it's worth noting
Great location, close to the tube and about 20-25 minutes walk away from Tower Bridge Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, Adam checked us in and gave us some directions how to get around for the beginning of our stay Room was clean and we even got it cleaned throughout our stay which was a nice surprise

United KingdomThe room was small. On the photos and what's advertised as a square ft did not match so 5 of us was cramped.
We did fit in the room - 5 of us. And it was not too far from Shoreditch.

JordanThere is a fee for a late check-in, even if you call beforehand, and if it’s less than an hour. The room was quite small, it was difficult to fit two small luggage bags. It also can get pretty hot in summer.
Friendly staff, not far from Whitechapel metro station and clean room. Had mini fridge, fan, iron/ironing board, and a hair dryer.

United KingdomMy room was in the basement and the towels, beddings, sheets etc are stored opposite to my room. Not in a cupboard so you can see those and it is not quite pleasant, makes you feel like you are sleeping in a storage room. Also, the cleaner had to take stuff from there so someone was constantly at front of my room I wished for more privacy. I was expecting more for this price as I paid quire a lot of money. The floor was chipped in my room and the shower door was not stable. Some things were very old in the room. No air-conditioning only fan.
Staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful.

United KingdomThe room was stiflingly hot with no fan or air conditioning and the windows in our room can’t be opened. There was a door to a small terrace that overlooks other guests, but it offered limited ventilation and when it rained the carpet got soaked. The base of the door and frame were badly rotted and falling apart. The shower was coming off the wall and the bathroom tiling was badly finished.
Nothing to say apart from the fact that the bed was comfortable.

United KingdomKettle and Tea but no teaspoons and milk. Laundry outside the room so lots of noisy activity with bags and all kinds of goings on. I should have mentioned that the kettle is in a dangerous place when plugged in because the drawer it’s on slides in and out, and isn’t sturdy. Only saying this now because I forgot to mention it.
Staff are great, Building is cute, Location is 90 seconds from the hospital, Comfy bed although it’s a bit squeaky, Clean room and en suite with great shower, Microwave, Fridge, Toaster, Smart tv with Netflix, Key code to get in

FinlandBecause the room was at the top of the building and had a window towards the sun, it was quite hot inside after warm sunny days. Also, I've never understood carpeted floors.

GermanyA bit noisy, you can easily hear other guests in the hallway. Was woken up at 5am by the person in the room above me shouting all kinds of things. My room was beneath floor level, which is fine for me, but some people might dislike that, plus there was no real window. Still very much "felt like a hotel" nonetheless.
Small but comfortable room + bathroom, clean, comparably affordable. Given London hotel prices, this seems like about the best one can get in the area & price range.

United StatesOur group was split between two rooms (not an issue) but the the one room had a very large window and the curtain was too small to cover the window.
We stayed on the first floor next to the reception which was easy with bags. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Easy walk to the train station.
