Shower and sink drains were slow to drain.

Excellent location and pleasant set-up for room. Friendly welcome with good explanations of the area. Good faciliites including use of shared kitchen and good range of tea/coffee options. Really good price.

All was good, no complaints.

There was a great welcome when we arrived and the owner was very helpful and friendly. The room was large and well equipped with a double and single bed. It was such a lovely touch that there was a chocolate on top of each of the towels. The location was great, just 10 minutes walk to York Minster and all the shops and restaurants. I would recommend the Viking Accommodations to anyone looking for reasonable accommodation in York.

As I'm nearing 60 a choice in room would have been helpful. It was a bit of a challenge getting to the top of the property especially the last narrow steep flight of stairs. I managed ok but others may have struggled.

Very friendly and helpful on our arrival and departure. Lovely and clean room although it could benefit from a blind to bathroom window. Perfect location for walking into York centre. Highly recommended.

Parking was extra for a residents parking permit but even this was cheap for York at £5 per day

Everything was perfect. The walls were a little thin but this didn’t disturb sleep at all!

After the first day, the walk into the city became a little too much for us and our small dogs, especially when going into the city to walk around and especially when it rains.

A beautifully, newly decorated room with all the facilities you need, plus. The owner of the accommodation was a very nice gentleman and very friendly and also very knowledgeable about the city of York.

It was all good.

Lovely quiet street with easy parking, yet a short walk to town centre and station. Comfortable clean room with hot drinks, and nice touches of chocolates and biscuits. Nice sized triple room with en suite and dining table. Helpful and accommodating owner.

On the very top floor so stairs were a bit steep.

Great location, 15min stroll from centre of York. Good shower, comfy bed, quiet, plenty of tea,coffee etc. Friendly hosts. Quirky and welcoming.

The location was excellent, only about ten minutes from the minster but away from the main roads so it was nice and quiet. The room and ensuite were clean and the host Jamal, was very approachable and helpful. Had a great stay and will definitely be returning.

My only complaint was on 2 out of the 5 nights I could smell cigarette smoke very strongly at night time. I'm not sure where it was coming from as the hallway didn't smell and the windows are new and they were shut. I could smell it in the bathroom and by the head of the beds. I'm not sure if there was a vent it was coming through but it was unpleasant. We were in room 2.

The location is great. A short uber ride from the train station with our luggage. Easy walking distance into the city. The staff was fantastic. So kind and gave us lots of recommendations that made our trip great. We were in room 2 which was spacious for the two of us. Use of the kitchen was great. we would stay here again.

On street parking but limited and had to Pay £5 for street permit to host but worth it. Extremely busy roads getting to venue- can't be helped.

Excellent location, literally 5 mins walk into York. Excellent hosts- friendly, helpful, made you feel at home straight away. Room was small but very adequate and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Lovely seating area downstairs for communal use. Would definitely stay there again
