Room numbers are quite confusing specially after having a few sherbets had to try all doors in my block.I would have given it 5 stars but I emailed to find out if they had electric car charging they told me yes you are welcome to use them.When I turned up all chargers had notice on them saying not available at the weekend.great! This was the one reason I chose this booking

Signage to the block was non-existant and at night very difficult to find despite a helpful security guy in the reception area showing me on the map. The campus is huge. Ok, the price is very cheap, but the room is just so basic with stains on the carpet, a single bed that is so thin and not very comfortable and a whole prison cell vibe. Noise from other students awoke me. Kitchen facilities are good (shared) but you have to bring your own cutlery and plates. Price is fine if you don't mind uber basic and have a car to drive to the campus and not rely on the bus. University should undertake some minor upgrades such as fresh paint, new carpets and a half decent matress.

The price is affordable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The signage and on-site directions could have been a little better - it was difficult to find the exact accommodation block. The microwave controls were not obvious - some instructions would be nice.

It was quieter than I was expecting. The supplied toiletries were a nice touch.

Did not like the fact no one told us we had to report to security and didn't like the fact we didn't have a cup or kettle or cutlery could not have a cuppa after traveling for 7hrs no curtain on my side window said there was a kitchen but failed to say there were no amenities

The room was on the third floor without any lifts and the staff is hostile towards keeping the luggage. The staircase is extremely narrow to carry even one bag. No staff is there at building to assist. The room was in very very poor condition. Very old room probably which hasn't been refurbished since ages. The door and flooring of bathroom was swollen. The cupboards were extremely dirty and looked like have never been cleaned. It was just paying 40 quids for a poor spring mattress only.

It is dated, needs an update on everything, has no TV, basically you get what you pay for (and less) if they update the room they could easily charge more, not suitable for adults, ideal for students.

The night of arrival however, I received my keys to the room from security, went to the room to find it unclean and dirty. The bed hadnt been made, it looked like someone was still staying there. Towels on the floor, bits of food on the table. Had to wait a while for a new room to be found. Security said this has happened a few times recently. This was late at night and very dark. I had to walk around in the dark between the room and security in an unfamiliar place. Was not nice.

Breakfast was pretty good. Bed was somewhat comfortable.

Someone had cooked noodles in the kettle. Then it was either cleaned or replaced but still smelt disgusting. Then it was replaced with a non-working one! The instructions to find the campus as well as the checking were totally inadequate.

The weather was really hot and it is not possible to open the window as it is a student accommodation.

I did not choose breakfast, but I liked my stay in the University as it was quiet and possible to relax due to closeness of the Wivenhoe trail and greeness of the campus. I did not travel by car, but the car parks are available and bus stops are close.

Perfect for our overnight stay for a couple of running events a couple of miles away at the castle. Got offered a late check so we could come back and shower before driving back to Leeds but decided not to use it and see more of the area instead

Clump of Hair in the sink plug hole, rusty radiator so couldn’t put towel on to dry , breakfast very cheap quality & wasps everywhere, NO TV & very noisy past 10pm with disrespectful screaming kids, lack of proper directions to find where to pick your keys up, no map etc

The accommodation was a drab student room with a wet room and nothing more. Other universities provide a kettle, for example, to make it more upmarket. It was very noisy, I got little sleep until 2am.

The location right on campus was ideal for my purposes, which is why I booked the room. Reception opening hours are very good. Staff were pleasant enough.

The other room I booked for my friend was not cleaned when we opened it (see photo below). We ended up not able to use the booked included breakfast as the line for the shops were very long due to groups of students. We will be late for the graduation if we join the very long waiting lines. Hope we were advised earlier or was given other line to wait or option to just pick up food as take away.

The venue of the graduation and the accommodation is only few meters away so its very convenient. The reception staff were accommodating. Staff quickly corrected the wrong room given.
