    Nothing - great stay

Fabulous hosts, lovely shepherds hut, very comfortable and a lot of space for something quite small! Great location for anyone going to the IOW festival as the shuttle bus stops at the end of the road.

Tracy and Rob make you very welcome, they are wonderful hosts. Nothing too much trouble. This is my second stay and hoping to do more. The location is lovely, set in a quiet field. The Hut is cosy and spotless with all the necessary facilities you need. I was cycling and its near a cycle route that goes through the Island which was perfect.

The hosts were responsive to questions prior to arrival and very friendly. The hut was exceptional for a shepherd's hut. I've stayed in a few and this one was very well equipped and maintained to a high standard.

This Shepherds Hut, the first we have stayed in, was located in the corner of a sunny field looking at a rural setting. The owner came to say hello a couple of times, brought fresh milk and also eggs from her hens. The accommodation was cheerful, clean and snuggly - as we hoped. A delightful stay

Luckily it was just warm enough to sit outside. So beautiful. Might have gone stir crazy if we’d have had to both be indoors for other than sleep and shower!

Lovely welcome. Beautiful setting. Sheep bunnies all abound in the green fields.

Not a major issue but was frustrating as the Bathroom light sensor doesnt leave the light on long enough leaving you in the dark after a short time especially when having a shower.

    Location is lovely Friendly host

The lack of storage facilities (which is what you would expect in a shepherds hut) meant you had to be a bit creative when storing luggage etc.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We were allowed to bring our dog. The location was very relaxing and quiet. I loved all the amenities, it was perfect for a short break.

A very last minute booking as was let down by another pre-booked site in Thorness Bay, and Tracey accommodated us so well, was so kind and went above and beyond to settle us. Very comfortable and clean, lovely and quiet to watch the night sky.

Had everything we could possibly need whilst being super cosy and exactly how imagined. Very accommodating when potentially arriving last due to work commitments but equally as helpful when plans changed. I would happily call this cabin home if I could 😅

This is not our usual type of holiday, but we thought we should give it a go. And we are so pleased we did!! We met Tracy upon arrival, and she showed us to our hut. (Nell), which was tastefully decorated with every essential that you need for a short stay, and spotlessly clean. The view is wonderful, with pleny of nature to be spotted. Very little light pollution if you want to do some start gazing. I would strongly recommend opening both doors in the morning and enjoy a cuppa in bed watching the sheep. Perfect start to the day. Thank you for a lovely break. We will be coming back.

It wasn’t quite as quiet and tranquil as expected as you can see and hear the traffic across the field and the football field nearby. We also walked to the local pub in the village, but as there is no footpath it felt a bit risky at times , especially around bends in the road . The mirror in the bathroom was very high up , so neither of us could see in to it! A hook for your towel or clothing on the inside of the bathroom door would be very handy. Also the washbasin is minute but then it is a tiny Shepherds hut !

Beautifully decorated with some quirky touches. Pleasant country views and a good shower. The owners are lovely , hospitable and very helpful and a lot of thought has gone into what people may need eg local maps, board games , kitchen utensils. There are two local pubs , and the food at the local village pub was excellent and good value .

Peaceful Shepherds Huts - We Look Forward to Returning Next Year

    Coming home so soon!

This was our first stay somewhere like this and not our usual type of holiday and it was a most enjoyable and pleasant stay. Everything you need is provided from the self catering aspect and milk is offered if needed on arrival. You are offered the use of a BBQ if staying two plus nights, we didn’t use this but probably would on our next stay as we will be more prepared. The host was extremely welcoming and met us following a phone call and we felt if we needed anything we could contact Tracy on the number provided - not that we did. We did take with us our own garden reclining chairs, as this was our choice for our own comfort and there is a lovely decking area to sit out on and look at the sheep and the beautiful views. We will definitely be back next year for a mini break all being well and would recommend anyone thinking about trying this out to do so.
