The room wasn't very big and I payed for a sea view room where you could just barely see the ocean

Our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the window to let some air in, the window did not open very far at all and there was no other way to cool the room (e.g no air con or fan). With the window open there was also quite a lot of noise from vehicles on the nearby road.

Location and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were super friendly and the bar did a great selection of drinks and cocktails.

No reception area, so you check in and out at the bar. Room a little dusty and rather small. Buffet breakfast provided reasonable choice, but it was akin to a budget hotel, and you also had to eat in the bar. We had booked a sea view room, but we were on the ground floor, so could only just see the sea across the car park

Their were a large amount of dogs in the hotel, most were on leads but some not.

Train noise from the Tyne & Wear Metro tracks. Left the hotel with flea bites. The room carpet was stained.

The self service cooked English breakfast is excellent. The location on the Tyneside beach front is a winner also.

Though the breakfast was great we thought the rest of the menu was very pricey for pub food. I’ve never had to return food before but mine wasn’t good. It was Easter Weekend and they’d been busy but still..the staff were great though and handled it very well and got me another meal which was good.

Just room was a touch small

Newly refurbished hotel. Fab location. Touch expensive considering my room was very small, albeit functional, and had some Seaview. If you get the right room, it will be superb. I will deffinately stay again.

Don't like to see dogs in a Hotel, where food is being served. Hotel bedroom doors banged shut during night time.

Breakfast was very tasty especially the Black Pudding! Superb ambience and decor in the Bar areas.

The price for a dog to stay is a bit steep considering that there is no dog bowl or blanket in the room. Also booking.com says the rate is £10 per night and the hotel charges £15 . Bar prices are expensive compared to other local hotels

No fridge or water in the rooms. I felt a vending machine somewhere for midnight thirsters who have over indulged on fresh seafood and whisky! But this could be put down to my poor self provision.

Excellent hotel with ample free parking. Great bar and although we only had the breakfast the meals coming out look very good. Fabulous sea views and very well staffed considering how busy it got with everyone showing good attitudes as hospitality should be.

Flexibility on check out time. Bathroom was problematic in that it was difficult to access the shower due to the shape of the room.

Nothing we didn’t like

Beautifully presented, clean and oozing character. Staff were so friendly especially Natalie and Amanda and they were all so professional. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. Room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. Beautiful location.
