Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing to fault here.
Cosy individual spaces and a great shared kitchen. Great location in the centre of Winchester, close to shops, restaurants, pubs.

United KingdomMy room was very warm but I’m someone who hasn’t turned the heating on yet this year so I’m probably a freak. Needed a warning for the little step down on arrival. I almost fell down it as it was dark when I arrived but I’m a bit clumsy.
Lovely room with separate seating area. The shared kitchen was really nice and well equipped. Great to have parking available but worth taking the time to reverse in as getting out was tight and easier nose first. Fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the town centre and really helpful booklet. I liked the shopping and cafe recommendations.

PolandIt was reallly great.
A lovely place to stay in Winchester - for shorter and longer stay as well. It is really comfy, bright and spacious, great living room and well-equiped kitchen - we had wonderful breakfasts!!! And of course you are in the center of Winchester, so you can fully enjoy this beautiful place, restaurants, pubs and all. Also there is a parking space in front of the house, which is really cool. It is tricky to squeeze there, but I don't recommend to use a big car in Winchester anyway😁

SingaporeThe instructions to open the main door were confusing. When I called the owner to ask for help all I got was a text message saying that instructions had already been sent - which wasn’t helpful. A diagram showing how to access the keypad would have helped as some of us are not accustomed to using combination door locks. I had also asked to reserve a car park space at the time of booking however the message that the car park space had already been reserved for another guest arrived only after the cancellation period had expired. This was not upfront behaviour on the owner’s part.
The property was excellent.

United KingdomThe place is well appointed but slightly awkward in terms of actual design. For example there is a couch but it is not very comfortable to sit on. The bedroom is upstairs. Overall the place is slightly more "fancy" than "comfortable."
Location was excellent. Check in was smooth and everything worked well.

United KingdomGetting out of the parking space is not for the faint hearted!
Such a beautiful little stay, the apartment had everything we needed and immediately felt like home. The communal kitchen was a lovely touch especially with bread and eggs for the morning.

United KingdomVery well furnished and clean flat in centre of town. Cleaner very helpful on early arrival. Parking spot smallish but I got a 4.5m van in there so I was impressed with myself as well as the accommodation! Bedrooms and bathroom very comfortable and plush. It's a communal kitchen but there's only three flats so we didn't clash and the kitchen is well provided with tea, bread eggs, fruit - very impressed all round. Thoroughly recommended.

United KingdomNothing really.
Very comfortable and slightly quirky accommodation, but in a good way! Very central for where we needed to be the next day. Clearly a lot of thought and planning has gone into this property and its shows. Some nice touches. Nice and warm. Good quality bedding and towels as well as environmentally friendly soaps. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast on the go.

AustraliaThe parking in the space beside the courtyard. Best to be there without a motor vehicle to hinder you. And the public long term parking is a fair trot away.
Proximity to all the historic attractions of Winchester, the beautifully designed , whisper quiet comfortable apartment and the supply of endless eggs and bread they left us. The shared kitchen also had some thoughtful provisions. Despite the fact we shared the house with two other apartments we felt cosy and at home here. Our grand nephew just loved the “swish” bathroom.

JapanNone.
It was really lucky for us to choose ‘two bare feet’! A few minutes walk from high street. We liked our room with two beds and also common kitchen with a microwave, plates and cutlery everything! which helped us a lot. The bread, bananas and eggs were prepared for the guests which was nice. We met a lovely couple from Belgium there we enjoyed talking with them. We highly recommend ‘two bare feet’ for people visiting Winchester.

United KingdomThe communal kitchen was hardly used by any of the guests during my stay, as it was not really supplied with sufficient food basics to do any self-catering. I used it only to make tea, and a kettle in my room would have sufficed.
This accommodation was in a great location, right in the centre of the city. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and check-in was straightforward. The room itself was quirky - on two levels, with an unusual use of space - but the bed on the mezzanine was comfortable, although the stairs up to it took a bit of getting used to.

United KingdomOnly one thing really. It's a (very well) converted old scout hut. High ceilings, wooden floors, which means walls are not thick & noise travels, mainly from the kitchen. A SLIGHT annoyance at times.
Perfect location, easy to find with detailed instructions from the owner. Just a 2 minute walk from City centre, yet no traffic noise at all. Immaculately clean! Shared kitchen well equipped, plus large dining table, sofa, games in basket and complimentary milk, bread, butter & eggs as well as tea & coffee (beans with grinder here). Bed very comfy, I had the smallest room with mezzanine level king size bed. Perfect for me, not sure about two people though (bed takes up all the space, you'd have to climb over your partner to get out - though could be fun!). Good shower, plenty of hot water. TV swivels out, so you can watch it from the cushioned seating 'bench'(?) I found it very cosy & comfortable.
