Value for money hotel on the outskirts of Keswick. It's our second stay here and we find it convienient for Keswick. Ubfortunately the kitchen wasn't open this time so can't comment on the evening meal. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Short 10 minute walk into Keswick,

We were warned at check in that it may be noisy as they had a country and western night booked. That was fine, but after the music stopped, there was something making a low-level noise all night. I'm not sure if it was the heating or the beer cellar cooling system, but it did disturb my sleep a bit.

The room was well equipped with a good-sized shower, and it was clean. It's a nice room at a low price.

We booked this as a gift for our friends. It was perfect price, and the owner let us park our motorhome outside for free. We had a lovely meal and great value too. Lovely local pub and there for the community doing a fantastic job too!

The shower wasn't hot. On check in by the barman, we were not informed about the entry and exit access to the pub out of hours. We had to ask the barlady who kindly showed us. The music was very loud until 11.30pm. Luckily we were not a family with young children. There was no breakfast offered on location.

The only potential problem that I could see was that the backdoor (which was reserved for guests entering the accommodation without going through bar) had a yale lock which I think Customers must have thought it shut by itself but it stuck and had to be pulled fairly hard to close properly. On 3 occasions I came from the bar or to the outside door and found it ajar. If this is not already done I think that when the customer is being shown to their room they are shown what they must do with the outside back door to ensure that it is shut correctly.

We were in room 2. Only slight niggle we experienced was the extraction fan above the pub kitchen made a humming noise till around 11 - but I was out like a light.

Really warm welcome.. Delicious evening meal - good pub grub at a reasonable price.. Perfect location to walk our dog back & fore.. Plenty of parking.. Location only 5 mins walk away from town shops where u can find everything u need.. Not a problem that they don't offer breakfast - plenty of dog friendly options in the town.

Needs a bigger bed as it felt like a 3/4 size. Horrible droning all night, think it was the beer cellar chiller, too loud! Only 1 double socket! Shocking!....that was a first.

There was no breakfast, although we know Keswick well and had no trouble finding somewhere to eat.

Good meal in the pub in the evening. The room was clean and very comfy and ideal for an overnight stay en route to our next location.

The shower in room 4 was absolutely rubbish. Just a trickle of lukewarm water. Impossible to have a proper wash. Couldn't complain on site as we checked out early.
