There was no bar area as such. Drinks were served but at your dining table.

It was a very nice property with a bit of history attached to it. We were housed in an adjoining cottage in an upstairs room with ensuite facilities. This was in the countryside so very quiet in the evening. Dinner and breakfast were good, well presented and plentiful.

Nothing really. If I was to be super picky, the toilet flusher wasn't fantastic. It was a little temperamental but it worked!

Room was lovely. Loads of character. Didn't have evening meal but breakfast was really good. Everything real value for money.

Wifi in the main building was strong but for the last 2 nights of 4 was unobtainable in my room in the building across from the main house- this was annoying - I mentioned it but connectivity was not restored. The desk was a bit small for working at and had a mirror with drawers on the top which got in the way- I could have lifted it off but that seemed ott. There were only 2 sockets, just by the desk, so kettle, laptop (when I could use it) and the re-charging of phone etc etc had to be juggled. These are quibbles really- I had a great stay.

The room was well lit and fine for one person. The food, both breakfast and evening meal, was excellent- good quality and well cooked and presented. A short but thoroughly varied wine list. I ate there 4 nights and was not disappointed. Staff were helpful and cheerful. It was great to be able to park easily right by the property.

We only booked this stay a couple of days before our stay and found no problems .

Cooked Breakfast was delicious, service and choices were excellent. We chose this hotel because it was outside of Bodmin with a short drive to lanhydrock NT.

Plumbing in bathroom was not fit for purpose - (you can't have an old vented system with hot water storage heater for multiple guests, shower was a mere trickle and when neighbours had their bath, the water running to refill the storage tank was very noisy for a long time).

Very comfortable bed, dinner was great (not so much the reheated Sunday Roast). Good location to explore both the North coast and Bodmin Moor.

There was no bar area but a lounge you could sit in. Not very much atmosphere. Drinks very expensive considering no draught beer available. 4 drinks were £27.50. I booked through Booking.com and was quoted £212.52 for 3 nights B&B, reasonable enough. When I checked my credit card bill I had paid £255. I'm still waiting for a response from Booking.com for the reason of the overcharge.

Breakfast. Wide choice of food. Avoided the sausage after the first morning. Tough and overcooked. The room was in need of some tlc. Shower cubicle very dated. Paintwork was in need of freshening up. We weren't actually in the hotel but what looked like a converted house.

Consequently black pudding missed off plates but rectified be it too late. Delay in filling up orange juice but as I said she was very very busy. So not a big deal. The other problem was the heating wasn't on in rooms as it was a chilly evening we asked at dinner about this and was told it would be dealt with. But rads still off in my room, Polzeath. I was cold during the night and slept in my dressing gown but still woke at 5.40am. Friends said their rads were on in their bathrooms but my room wasn't. I was in Polzeath. Bed comfy tho, bedding clean, room could do with a redecorate. But not too bad for end of season. We love staying here to visit our dear friend who lives nearby. So we will be back. Perhaps I'll pack a hot water bottle. Lol hahaha

Stayed over night. Evening meal exceptional. Service very good. Breakfast good but waitress was very busy due to everyone turning up for breakfast at same.

Bathroom very clean but could do with an upgrade now - a shower curtain is pretty 'old school' and allowed water to leak all over the floor. Trehellas is not somewhere to stay, however, if you're hoping to get a late meal or a late drink in the bar - by 8.45pm on a Thursday the whole place was closed down, lights off and the team ready to head home. It suited me fine, but would be a problem if you were expecting an active restaurant staying open until the advertised 9pm! Or indeed needed breakfast before 8am.

Always a friendly welcome at this old house-turned-into-a-hotel. Parking is easy, finding it no problem (just outside Bodmin), rooms clean with windows that open which is good, and comfortable beds. Breakfast smelled good though I didn't have time for it. I was late arriving and they called to check I was still coming, which is good.
