Breakfast was, (shall we say,) basic. served in the pub salon, with TV full on.

The room was spacious, comfortable albeit lacking "luxury extras". Excellent location and wonderfully quiet. Bathroom was large, sparse, but the shower worked well. Nice large towels.

Tiles missing from bathroom, wallpaper coming loose, carpets very worn, outside of the building broken glass and litter.

There was no blind in the bathroom, so I used a blanket in the wardrobe to cover the window for privacy

I was so grateful for the hotel keeping my booking for another day, I had to postpone twice, but they had no hesitation in moving the booking. The bed was very comfy

very dated. only one electric switch, remote of TV broken, bathroom fittings not functioning. needs a deep clean breakfast from 8.30 to 9.30. not buffet. you have to request for one dish,

The house is badly maintained, the interior is about 30 years old, the wallpapers partially hanging down from the ceiling with stains of mold in the bathroom.

Arrived at 4pm but room still being cleaned. Wall paper coming away on bathroom ceiling and tiles missing. Bathroom needs complete updating and bedroom generally needs redecorating. Would have been nice to be shown to my room and an offer of help upstairs with my suitcase on arrival.

Staff friendly. Food good. Felt safe as a solo woman. Free parking on site. Also a pub but not bothered by late noise. Good location for easy 45 minute walk in to Oxford along the river.

Very far from anywhere on foot. No shops nearby at all. Bathroom window and the room's one doesn't have blinds so light gets in early and you can't sleep well. You feel exposed in the bathroom with no blinds on. It is on top of the bar so expect noise to reach the room at night. Breakfast is served very late at 8.30 to 9.30.

Cheap, acceptable, close to centre with car, the one staff member I met was helpful.

The staff were unfriendly, I waited at the reception for more than 10 minutes before someone responded and he was sullen. The salmon they served for breakfast was bad.

i couldnt have my FREE breakfast as breakfast started at 8,30...i had a meeting in Oxford at 9, so couldnt have breakfast....8 pm start would have been better

They travel cot they provided was broken & dirty, they also said they'd put it up ready...they didn't. The hotel smelt like stale cigarettes. The side pannel was falling off of the bath, they also said they'd be able to let me have breakfast a bit earlier, because I needed to leave at 8.30, but they didn't even open up until late.

The size of the room, bed & the size of the bath were all good. It was clean just dated.

Lovely staff, fabulous Indian restaurant. Nice village close to Oxford. Only complaint was the bed was uncomfortable. New mattress needed or mattress toppers.

bathroom, extractor not working so completly steamed up when taking a shower bedroom, when we placed a phone on top of a set of drawers the front fell off the draw. we did tell the staff but dont think they understood. Breakfast, took a long time to arrive considering we were the only ones left to be served.

The actual hotel building was fairly basic. Clean and tidy, but perhaps lacked some touches that could have made it a little more attractive. Flowers on the table, cushions on the chairs etc.

My room had all the facilities I needed, and the breakfast in the morning was very good. I arrived early and was made to feel welcome. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was within walking distance of where I was going to be spending the day.

I think it's changed hands since I was last there, the new staff seem a bit miserable compared to my previous visits when they were much more cheerful and welcoming.

I've stayed here a few times, mostly because of location and price.

The room needed renovation, worn carpets,stain above headboard and substandard plastering near the windows. For the breakfast timing to start at 8:30 was an inconvenience as many hotels serve from 7am .

The breakfast felt inadequate, it was very light. Chicken sausages and turkey bacon are sub par to pork sausages and proper bacon. The portion was rather small also.
