The grounds and interior of hotel very nice, Fabulous 👌 breakfast choice, never rushed, which made a nice change.

Freshly cooked breakfast would have been nice rather than buffet. Spar facilities could do with a refresh as looking a bit tired. Room was basically furnished and sparse. Room LONG way from main building and walk back and forth was complicated. Need more food choice on Bistro menu. Spar facilities - pool and treatments dont seem adequate for size of hotel when highly occupied.

Our room was very small, the bathroom was really in bad condition. Not so clean. Had cracks in walls. No body lotion and no hairdryer in the room was also disappointing.

The bedroom had not been cleaned fully. Under the bed it was extremely dirty and dusty. Our first morning breakfast, we were not offered a pot of tea at the table.

I have had a lot of trouble with obtaining the Pre authorised amount back from Tortworth court, to date I still do not have this in to my account, I have spent a lot of time communicating with them and my bank to try and get this resolved. Due to this issue, and the wat its been handled I will probably not be staying or dining any more at Tortworth court. Its a shame as we have had numerous functions,2 weddings ,several parties and spent a lot of money there over the years. But this has now made me think, its not somewhere I will be going back to any time soon, if ever

The only negative was that the hot food at breakfast could have been warmer, otherwise the breakfast selection was superb.

The staff were friendly, the hotel gave me an upgraded room and the dinner was excellent. Because we were celebrating a special birthday, the staff at breakfast brought us Mimosas as part of our meal!

Our room was quite a walk from the main reception although when we figured the car could be parked close by it didn't seem as bad. A bit noisy late at night with rowdy wedding party patrons returning to rooms early hours. Housekeeping was a little slow at room servicing.

Beautiful buildings and gardens, clearly a great venue for weddings and conferences etc due to its size and no. of rooms. Catered well for our dog with one restaurant/bar available and another bar in the library. Room was as expected. Excellent outdoor seating and bar facilities when weather is suitable.

Offer crispy bacon as well on a hot plate.

The breakfast always goes well -except one tiny thing - you only serve bacon medium cooked - I asked if it had ever been the case when crispy bacon was also offered - your staff member said no - but he immediately said he would do some for us.

Beautiful period property in stunning grounds, and surroundings! A million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Paul the manager was brilliant, made our stay a wonderful one.

The spa facilities are good but a little disjointed in terms of the dressing rooms to the pool. The kids loved it though and all in all it worked. Very Happy

Decided to upgrade and very glad we did. The hotel is impressive, warm, visually lovely. The first family room we had was very far away from the pretty main house and was a little tired in design so it was worth the extra cost. I loved it.

We would have liked better lighting in the room such as a central light. There was no bottled water in the room which we would have appreciated.

Location excellent and so close to M5. Wonderful building and grounds. Staff extremely helpful and breakfast had a wide range of food to choose from which was well stocked and presented.

Unfortunately , the cleanliness of the gym and spa area really do need some attention. You enter this area via the front desk and a corridor. Although slippers are supposedly available to borrow, there weren’t any available for the entire duration of the stay. You then go down a corridor which leads to the swimming pool however it’s the same corridor that is used to access the pool from the changing rooms. There is a dispenser for over shoes so that you can cover up your shoes while walking where people also walk with bare feet, however there were no over shoes available for the entire duration of our stay, therefore you have people walking with outdoor shoes and people walking with bare feet on this wet floor which was filthy. The men’s changing room is downstairs and the women’s upstairs so again the stairs walked on by people with bare feet and outdoor shoes, as is the steam room and sauna area, which really does make the experience much less pleasant and relaxing than it should be. Downstairs the floor leading to the pool was so visibly dirty it was unbearable to walk on. Water in the swimming pool was visibly dirty as was the water in the Jacuzzi so we only visited these once. On top of this, dressing gowns aren’t readily available or provided in the majority of room although people on certain packages seem to have them, you have to use the showers and changing room to change back into your clothes because you can’t return to your room in your dressing gown which makes the whole area a lot more busy than it needs to be, which should be solved by simply providing dressing gowns and slippers to everyone to keep the place more functional and clean. If cost is such an issue I’m sure people would be willing to pay a deposit then have to get changed in the changing room to go back to their rooms, which is highly unusual in a spa hotel.

We stayed in a courtyard deluxe room which was very airy with high ceilings, it was nice and spacious and the bathroom was spotless. The bed was a little hard but comfortable enough and large. The food was really good and the staff were wonderful. I use the gym regularly and it was very quiet in the morning, which was nice. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff kindly left a box of chocolates in our room which was a really nice touch. The grounds were beautiful and perfectly maintained, we love the food in the restaurants the service in the bars and the newly opened restaurant was also wonderful.

The room was tiny,decor very old fashioned, no complimentary water,door not shouting blood stains on duvet, shower not working, boiler noise on all night outside of room,some staff need further training in customer service
