Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaFound the beds a little firm and pillows too hard, so did not sleep the best. My son who is over 6 foot had a double bed room but the bed had an end to it, so he could not sleep with legs straight, so also did not sleep well.
Great location with parking. Rooms were very clean and hosts accommodating us with a late check in. Fantastic breakfast.

We got an upgrade from the lovely owners they even moved our things for us so we didn't have to come back to the guest house we were left to.it which we really liked .. beautiful room very clean well worth the stay ..we stay alot in windermere and this will be our go to place to stay from now on..

United KingdomThere was a smell in the room we could not shift was like new plastic or a radiator painted not long ago but didn’t impact the stay, as it was very warm could have done with a fan.
Owners were friendly and attentive, could not have been nicer, good quality breakfast well prepared with good quality ingredients with plenty of biscuits and treats given during the stay.

We really recommend Thornbank House to anyone would like to enjoy the Lake District, the location was perfect, few minutes walking to Windermere city centre and Windermere Lake. The rooms were cleaned, organised and cozy. Jane and Mark are wonderful hosts, they do everything by themselves, which was fascinating to us. Unfortunately, we didn’t try the breakfast there, but the smell was great :) We definitely recommend Thornbank house to everyone.

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at Thornbank and had the most wonderful stay. I have to say that it is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, someone goes to great lengths to ensure that cleanliness is to the highest standard. The check in and check out processes are simple, and the host is friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy and I loved the extra touches like the complimentary flapjack and the make up removing flannel. Would definitely recommend.

The bathroom is good and clean, the bed is cozy, and the warmer worked well over all night. Don’t need to bring hairdryer and shampoo with you. Also it’s convenient for us to get the luggage loaded in the house. Nice response without delay.
