Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We've got a fantastic highrised room with the stunning rooftop view over the city, The room was very spacious, the bed - big and comfortable (ideal - not too hard, not too soft), and the number of pillows was big enough to comfort ourselves. The hotel staff is exceptional. The location is great - the hotel in in the middle of everywhere. Pleasant stay, nothing to add.

United KingdomThe room we were initially given had very low water pressure (toilet struggled to flush solids, shower was freezing), and when maintenance came to fix it, they did not resolve the problem in spite of their affirmative report to the hotel staff; however the staff each time were responsive and sought to amend the issues.
When we found issues, and reported them to the staff, we were offered solutions. The welcome within the room was a nice touch. The replacement room provided had a lovely view.

Breakfast was great first few days, but went down hill. A menu of foods made hot was there and then disappeared (not available). Last few days service went down hill. Breakfast buffet items ran out and we were early that day to breakfast. Not consistent with service. Some morning tea and coffee were offered others no?

AustraliaBreakfast was disorganised and lacking attention to detail. Juice glasses ran out both mornings, no plates beside pastries which were at the other end of the room from other food. Food quality not great the second morning. Suite lounge furniture needs refurbished or replaced. Grande cafe hostess service was appalling. Not given menus when seated, stuck at table beside door despite asking if one of the other empty tables was available, and they were still empty when we left.
Suite was lovely spacious rooms with beautiful panelling, reception and concierge staff were really helpful. Location close to main tourist sites.

AustraliaThe pillows were terrible. We contacted reception for mattress toppers, but housekeeping never came. The cocktail bar didn't have what it needed to make cocktails, and they were not very good. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was not up to the standard I'd expect for this hotel. The staff lacked experience. I was not impressed with being charged a service fee on my bill when the service wasn't up to scratch. The entree wasn't very good but the main course was delicious. The desset menu wasn't very inciting.
Loved the location and views. The decor was excellent. I liked the ordering options on the breakfast menu. Good temperature in the room, It wasn't too hot. Delicious eggs Benedict.
