Breakfast wasn’t the greatest, this could be because we went ten minutes before it finished which resulted in getting the very last bits

Great room for price, great location and nice and quiet. Staff at desk bubbly and helpful.

It’s a beautiful building but sadly is very run down. Why spend on big extensions before fixing the original? Most staff were lovely, one not so much. A very rude man snapping we had 3 minutes to order breakfast because we were told 10am and he said it’s actually 9.30am. The bed was awful. Very uncomfortable. Two single mattress’s on a bed base as old as time. Room was enormous but the floor moves a lot. Shower was either hot or cold, no in between. Breakfast was a joke. £9.99 each but barely any food and the vegan choice was pretty much zero other than fruit.

The original building looks beautiful albeit run down. The gardens are lovely. Most of the staff were lovely. Plenty of parking.

Maybe a little bit of updating in some of the rooms/bathrooms.

Good friendly staff. Hotel in excellent location and well laid out, the rooms off the main building in particular.

Single / twin beds were very narrow and couldn’t make the shower cool enough to have a decent shower.

    As a bove

The cost of the room gave me an expectation of a bigger room. Found it slightly cramped with a need for some airflow.

The wc needs a thorough cleaning. We opted out of room service and it would have been a good idea to provide toilet cleaner.

Nice breakfast, peaceful surroundings and not far from town centre.

Bed and pillows were a bit hard and the curtains were short and let the light in

Really nice self contained garden room. Plenty of parking for my horse box, Good central location. Very clean and well presented hotel. Option to exchange needless house keeping for a free drink was good - and taken up.

a little more attention should be given to the detail of the room.both curtains were hanging down as numerous hooks had come undone on both sides. the bedroom was pleasant and comfortable, however the bathroom was very tired and could do with bringing up to date or a face lift. . .

strange rattling noise coming from what I thought was the bathroom all night. room was also very hot & no latches on the windows so I had to close them overnight. the bathroom also has slight mould near the shower unit. loo flush handle virtually broken

I stayed in room 52 which was classed as a garden room. overall the room was average.

Room not sound proof - lots of banging doors in the corridor early morning. Emergency exit door from corridor to general access exit often left open meaning general public could walk in and making it a security concern.

Room was dark with only one small window. It was through the lounge, down stairs to bar, through bar and door, up stairs, through door, down stairs…a rabbit warren. - no tissues or face washers
