Welcoming staff, lovely room and excellent breakfast ! A nice touch was the flask of fresh milk for the tea/coffee in the room. We can also recommend dinner in the restaurant- good food, excellent staff and a nice atmosphere.

Bar and lounge got very busy with locals. Sometimes difficult to find seating.

Really nice very clean, bright room ,with sea view and balcony. Balcony could do with a bit of TLC but the outlook was great and so good to be able to sit out in the sun ....... I was lucky and did get some sun. Food excellent. Really didn't expect such good food in a fairly modest hotel .Good value too, Staff very friendly . Mostly locals, which I did like, so were able to fill me in on local info. I was made to feel very much at home and as a single female traveler that was especially welcome. Particularly in the Restaurant when dining alone. It was a most enjoyable experience and I would certainly go again.

Although an old building, the hotel is very light and airy. It is beautifully decorated throughout. The room was lovely with a sea view. Breakfast was served in the conservatory which was absolutely beautiful. The food was very tasty with a big selection to choose from . All the staff we met went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant.

Room was spacious, clean, and had a good variety of tea, coffee and bottled water. Nespresso machine was a added plus. Bathroom was immaculate, mini toiletries provided and plenty of towels. Water was working with no issues, anti slip bath mat also provided. Breakfast was fantastic, and good portion sizes. Location right on beach front. Overall excellent value for money. Staff were also brillaint and welcoming, and polite as we left.

The Sunday Lunch was average. The access to the car park is very tight and a bit difficult to find.

The room was very comfortable. The staff were all very competent. Excellent location to explore the area. The breakfast was very good.

Some details in the room needed attention, the curtains did not close properly and a light flickered in the bathroom, some scuffing and repainting needed. More could be made by the hotel of the proximity of the coastal path.

The location is excellent, it is on the coastal path so you can walk into Whitstable or the other direction for miles. The restaurant food is good both dinner and breakfast. There are nice small touches such as a small flask of fresh milk provided for tea and electric heaters in the room. The staff are helpful and friendly especially in the restaurant.

we stayed in room 8 which had a balcony and a sea view, the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is very good we have stayed here before in a more basic room which was cheaper no balcony and smaller room but just as comfortable. We have only ever stayed one night.

The operation of the bath & shower needs improvement, extremely difficult to get either to work separately & difficult to run a bath without getting your hair wet from shower. The pillows could do with an upgrade.

The room & sea view were good, the room refreshments good, bed comfy, very nice breakfast.
