Very noisy as the hotel hosts evening parties and live bands . Room was ok but general areas a bit tired

TV was very small, a bit too much of a hike to the room. Corridors were not very well light at night! The bar area was not welcoming at all. But there are lots of bars and restaurants close by.

Located in the centre of town, very convenient. However, you do need to find parking which is reasonably easy and free. Lots of stairs and long narrow corridors (its an old building). No lift available. Bathroom had a good bath and excellent shower, with Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. Room was spotlessly clean with nice white bedding. Tea / Coffee were provided, and the wifi worked really well. Lauren on reception was particularly helpful.

Lights in room didn't work properly, shower unusable as couldn't change temperature, bath plug couldn't be pulled out as no chain , had to use a spoon. Wasn't given the WiFi code when booked in as should have been And wasn't told there was a club nearby keeping us awake until 4am ,

The room was nice, beds comfy, breakfast yummy, As a whole hotel was nice, small balcony to the front was lovely and good for some pics , the flower wall on landing was just perfect for our pre wedding photos , The young girl working on Sunday morning was brilliant, cheary and helpful despite being on her own. The park nearby was lovely and a good local taxi service with friendly drivers who we used to get to our nieces wedding at Grendon lakes

The bathroom being so small. The hotel really needs a good tidy up and redecoration. It's looking tired.

Receptionist Hayley was very friendly and helpful. She helped with our accommodation following an accident that I'd had recently and hurt my leg. Check in was easy. Room was nice with a comfortable big bed. The bathroom and shower were tiny though. Breakfast very nice. Parking pretty easy.

My room had a funny smell to it. I could heat all the street noise with the windows closed so didn't sleep well at all. Room was pretty small.

The location for where I needed to be next day and there was some parking.

Refurbishment is clearly underway - the rooms are great, but the public areas and corridors are looking dated and in need of some TLC

Bathroom let the room down. Not very well finished off, and toilet seat broken. No lights in long corridor to bedroom in night. Only one bottle of water & one packet of biscuits despite booking for two. A little stingy on the refreshments.

Central location good. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Lucky to be able to park in courtyard car park.

The shower could have been better. Really low pressure and we couldn't get it hot.

The room was beautiful with lovely big windows and beams on the ceiling. The beds were comfortable and the family room was spacious. The staff were really lovely as well.

The only thing I didn't like was beng too hot sleeping under the duvet and being woken by the street cleaning crew in the early hours of the morning, but this was beyond the hotels control.

Room was clean and comfortable and had everything required including toiletrees, a fan and hairdryer. I stayed in room 114 which was at the side of the property above the outdoor seating area. Into the evening it did get a little noisy but didnt disturb my evening. Bed was comfortable but under duvet I was incredibly hot so discarded this part way through night. (Sure this would be lovely in the winter months) As you would expect in this style of property noise can be heard from the corridor but again didnt disturb my sleep. I was woken early hours of the morning by the street cleaning crew cleaning the side street above my rooom but this is outside of the hotels control. Breakfast was fanatastic-I had the full english which was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. I travelled for business and would certainly stay here again if visiting the local area.

It is a very old building so it maybe that neither a lift or air conditioning is an option, but they would be big improvement

Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff really nice, helpful and friendly. It was a little noisy as it was very warm in room so we had to open windows on to main street. Food was Ok but nothing special.

Due to the location being in the centre of town, the room being next to the main road, and it being a Saturday night; there was a plethora of ridiculously drunk people randomly fighting in the street and shouting and swearing at the top of their voices. This went on until about 4am and it was impossible to sleep through. Also, I had paid extra for what was described as an extra large bed but turned out to be a small double bed.

The room was beautiful with a beautiful bath tub and some little luxuries like a hot chocolate sachet and some biscuits. The morning breakfast had great options and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Parking really poor, there is extra parking down the road but I didnt want to leave my car there so I ended up taking my car to a venue and leaving it there overnight as had CCTV.

The room had everything I needed very comfortable and clean.
