Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEven with closed windows, there was street noise coming in from people and motorists outside the window. Other rooms may be better for noise on a Sunday night. We were in room 101 and did not sleep well.
Great location, right across the way from the railway. Restaurant and bar are beautiful. Breakfast was lovely!

United KingdomThe location was great but town itself is needs an uplift. Around the hotel there were derilect buildings. At the back of the hotel was a dumping ground. The entire hotel grounds should have been upkept. Breakfast options were a joke, as the chef was not versatile, so only one option given. Ordered three different types of breakfast options and was given only one. Sad!!
Inside the hotel was amazing!!

United KingdomI booked as I was told I can do a late checkout. This had to be done at the property and not prior so I booked a later travel time. One of the staff was rude and a blatant racist. Said it wasn’t available for me and that was that. So I ended up having to kill several hours because my train was later in the day

United KingdomThe bathroom sometimes smelt like sewage. Buttons were missing off the light switches on the wall. I’m someone who loves to have AC and was thrilled when the room had AC… The problem was that there was no remote control for it, I spent every night trying to figure out how to change the mode on the AC, it wasn’t doable. It was on heating mode constantly but on the lowest setting possible. In some ways it was nice, in other ways I woke up sweating and sticking to the bed sheets. Other than that it wasn’t a bad stay, but I would recommend getting better tvs with Netflix available, my stay cost a total of £501 for 3 nights, it was good and it had its luxury vibe to it. But I’ve stayed in other places for a cheaper price with better tv and ac options. I would love to stay here again but maybe if there has been improvements made. The walls are also quite thin so you will hear doors closing and people talking, walking around etc. the toilet seat was also wobbly and broken so that might need replacing. But other than that it’s still a lovely hotel.
I loved the spa bath and how big and comfy the bed was! Staff were always friendly and if we asked for anything nothing was too much.

United KingdomThe only problem we had was that other guests were noisy going to their rooms at approximately 1.30am but that isn’t the fault of the hotel it’s just down to inconsiderate people!
The location is great right next to the train station & there is a pay for car park not even a minute away (£5 for 24 hours). The shopping centre and Wind Street (for food/drinks) is 5-10 walk away. The hotel was lovely with a large bar & outdoor seating. We didn’t eat at the hotel so I can’t comment on food except for the afternoon tea we saw going out which looked fantastic. Our room, which was in the back of the hotel, wasn’t very big but more than adequate for our needs & we weren’t concerned we had no view. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom (supplied with mini toiletries) & the bed was very comfortable. There is an air conditioner but it is noisy to run. There is an ironing board, iron & hairdryer in the room along with a kettle & tea & coffee facilities.

United KingdomI had a lovely one night stay. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfy and fresh white sheets. The shower had plenty of pressure which was great. There was plenty of tea and coffee and a couple of packets of biscuits. The only downside was the room being very warm but there was a window which I could open which did let a bit of air in but you could hear the noisy traffic outside which isn’t the hotels fault. I was on the second floor and could hear guests in the room above walking around but that did not affect my stay at all. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I really enjoyed my stay so I will return when in Swansea again.
