Staff were outstanding, the gentleman who was the bell captain created us warmly as we entered the hotel, the check in staff were very friendly and efficient and our bags arrived in our room almost by magic. The hotel is being refurbished, so a part of it is closed off but there was no noise or dirt to give evidence of the work. Our room was very attractive, nicely appointed bathroom and a good selection of tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable indeed.

Newly refurbished room which was beautiful. A Roberts radio playing low on arrival was a nice touch. Complimentary drinks in the fridge, another lovely touch. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Would stay here again tomorrow if i could. Will definitely be back. If you are coming to Bath, this is the place to stay.

There was some construction going on so the lift was out of service, but it wasn't a big deal.

Really nice rooms, high-quality bed and sheets, beautifully decorated. Great location.

The lift wasn’t working but our bags were delivered to our room for us so that was forgiven.

The hotel is very well situated in the centre of the city, all attractions within easy walking distance. The staff were all particularly nice, welcoming, friendly. The restaurant and bar look great and the food was very good. Our room was large and very clean with well stocked tea/coffee/biscuits/water facilities and fridge.

Great location, right in the centre and with a view of the square. Lovely design and comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries in the stylish bathroom. Small details in the room made it special, like a GHD hairdryer and a dualit kettle. The minibar was stocked with good complimentary refreshments. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even offering to bring up my backpack as there is no lift in service. I was expecting to drop off my bag and go wandering, and was very pleasantly surprised to find that I could check in early for free as my room was ready.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, staff were so friendly and we were fortunate enough to be checked in much earlier than expected. Room was spotless and had great facilities and only a few minutes walk into the main town centre

No lift currently due to renovations. Not impressed by new restaurant… menu is uninspired and expensive. Often used to eat bar snacks at the hotel pre-theatre and these were excellent (especially fish gujons and ice cream desert) - these have been replaced with scaled down options from the new restaurant menu??? Can’t honestly see the new restaurant being a success without a major rethink especially with such a good choice of food venues within a short walk. I stay at this hotel regularly (it’s my favourite in Bath) but I can’t imagine I’ll be eating there in the future).

Still undergoing major revamp. Bed very large/comfortable. Now have coffee machine in room and complimentary minibar. Staff hare very helpful and friendly.

Had a great time in the bar learning about cocktails; the guys were so knowledgeable and lovely. The doorman was super kind and helpful too. The room was nicely decorated and spacious.

Rooms are superclean and have all the amenities, mini bar is free and fully stocked up, friedly staff and amazing breakfast and the main restaurant in general. The location is fantastic and has direct access to all main spots

Everything being done to ensure that guests are inconvenienced as little as practicable by the work in progress. The standard being set is high and we had no complaints at all. The new Francis will appeal to most visitors and is a credit to the staff and contractors. .

Brilliant porterage and reception staff very helpful in explaining the interim arrangements during the ongoing refurbishment. The new look is reflected in every room visited with tasteful decor and furniture all of a high quality. The new restaurant and bar areas are really appealing and relaxing.
