Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWell, the room (and also external bathroom/toilet) needs to be renovated, especially the carpet. It was a small room, typical for budget rooms in London.
A really nice house (quiet crescent in front of two tennis courts) and beautiful breakfast room. Breakfast was freshly prepared. Overall prefer these "old" hotels to anonymous hip sleeping machines

SwitzerlandThe rooms are small in typical London fashion, but I had all the space I needed for a few days. The breakfast was good and generous. The highlight is probably the location, super close to the universities and to public transport!

United KingdomWe were on the 3rd floor with no lift, getting our cases up the stairs was tricky.
Perfect location, lovely breakfast, staff were wonderful and helpful. The room was basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable with plenty of tea & coffee.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like. It was all exceptionally good.
The hotel was chosen initially for its close location to Euston station, but it proved to be far more than that. It was also very close to Russell Square Tube Station, and there were numerous eateries all within a short walking distance. The room was suitable for our requirements, and very clean. The staff were all top class and very helpful, especially Paulina on the Reception Desk. The breakfasts are lovely, and offer such a good choice for the size of the hotel. The Breakfast staff were extremely diligent, and kept the facilities clean and ready for the next guests to use the tables. We will definitely be returning to the Euro Hotel on our next trip into London.

United StatesA little noisy on the street side on Saturday night. We wanted to have the window open but there were too many cars, motorcycles, and foot traffic late into the night.
Great location near train stations and underground. Cozy hotel on a crescent. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

CanadaDoor gap around the room door is quite wide. A little bit of trim or a draft seal would go a long way to making it feel more private.
Great location, wonderful common room for breakfast, clean room and bathroom was especially clean. Close to Kings Cross, Euston and St. Pancras stations. Many great shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. Very convenient overall.

United KingdomWe did get the impression of a little bit of a lack of professionalism as for example when we went to check out nobody was around and there isn't a desk exactly. It seems like they have a small team and people take on a lot of jobs but maybe that was just our impression. It didn't really impact our overall stay.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and size of the room. Also when you check into hotels they are usually very stingy with the supplies but these guys gave us plenty of toilet paper and coffee and tea and things like that even though we were only staying for the one night! The room was super clean and overall we were very happy with our stay.

Good location for Eurostar, which was only a few minutes walk away. Tucked away, it was not too noisy considering it was the middle of London. Breakfast was good.

1. The hostess is very kind and warm. I checked in late but she still welcome me warmly and get my room ready very quickly. She even prepared the breakfast after knowing I have to leave early next morning. Thanks to her very much. 2.Room is very hot and silent at night.
