The pool got a little tight with more people an not enough space around the pool to relax. The pool area felt noisy instead of relaxed.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is clean. The bar and restaurant is pleasant.

Swimming times were a little restricted, and lessons took up half the pool which didn’t leave much space. Breakfast could have few more continental options.

Rooms very spacious. Nice touches with snacks and mini bar. Facilities were nice also.

The corridors to the rooms, and the rooms themselves (well at least ours anyway) didn’t look too clean, there were quite a few stains that basic carpet cleaning would sort out and the carpet itself was threadbare in places, having worked in hospitality for almost 3 decades now there are obvious signs here that deep cleaning schedules aren’t either in place or maybe followed, and a lack of investment in presentation. We visited the spa/pool and this also looked like it needs a real good deep cleaning and a fresh lick of paint, especially the ceiling around the pool area. Lastly we paid to upgrade our room, the view out of our window was some bins and part of what looked like the staff car park, which was a shame as the view of the pond was nice.

The area around the pond, and the reception and bar/restaurant areas are tidy and well maintained. The food, whilst being pretty overpriced was decent.

The sofa bed for the children was incredibly uncomfortable and the changing rooms at the swimming pool were not well kept

Lack of disabled facilities even though informed the hotel about 9 months in advance of the stay. Apparently there are only two wet rooms in the whole hotel my husband felt discriminated against. No pen, no glasses or writing paper in room. The shower was raised and very tight in the corner with very stiff doors not good for someone with mobility issues!! It’s a modern hotel so shouldn’t have raised showers ( design issue). Although anti slip mats were provided for the bath and shower the shower without the mat was very, very slippery. The chairs in the room were very low and the table high. The bed was hard!! The hardback book in the room provided about Cambridge, restaurants and tours was 4 years old and out of date. I used the gym (my husband can’t) gym was good but did not have a hip abductor/hip adductor machine which most gyms have!! We should have been advised to book a table in the restaurant for dinner upon check in but we’re told nothing available in the restaurant and would have to eat in the bar!! We managed to find a 2 tables on the periphery of the restaurant which we put together. front of house were very helpful and provided us with a waiter and although our table was outside of the restaurant we were able to have the restaurant menu rather than the bar menu!! Also due to my husband’s disability I have to use a trolley to get all my luggage in and out of the hotel. There is a revolving door which needs to be stopped and pushed no help was provided only by other customers!!

Do not recommend the restaurant - we waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive, one of the waitresses was very rude and the food was bland. Bad end to an otherwise lovely stay.

The lobby area is very spacious and nice, the bedroom is comfortable and spacious. Lots of parking. Spa facilities are decent and its quiet in the evening.

the radiator in the bed room was off and the room a bit chilly at times . Reception informed we could have a portable heater which was fine . Its better if the room has adjustable heating for cooler days

the hotel reception staff was very welcoming . The dinner in the evening was enjoyable and so was the breakfast . The staff were very pleasant and attentive . The room was a good size and comfortable .Definitely recommend and will be returning

The room was very spacious as was the hotel on a whole, based just outside Cambridge in a quiet area. Breakfast was good. The pool looked nice but unfortunately as we went on a bank holiday weekend it was rather busy

The pool area was smaller than I expected. The mattress in my bedroom was very uncomfortable as it kept moving and the pillows were so soft that we were just sinking into the pillow🫣😳

We rung reception for an extra duvet and they said they would bring one up, they never did and we rung reception 3 separate times about it and they didn’t answer the phone. Also we was at the front of the property so we heard everybody turning up loud, chatting, drunk all throughout the night so had quite a lot of disturbed sleep unfortunately.

Restaurant was full could not eat there, when trying to get a table in the bar it was full and very rowdy with an external group event, very disappointed that paying Hotel guests were not catered for or looked after.

I was told I hadn’t paid for the booking although I had and the receptionist was completely unable to sort it out saying I had to prove I’d paid from bank statements when I got home . Very stressful as was going to get charged again for a booking I had already paid for .
