Room was very tiny! Loud hallway noise of doors opening and shutting. Did not have blackout curtains nor a refrigerator. Pillows were very hard.

Location was great. Staff was superb! Coffee in the lobby and free bottled water was a very nice touch.

The ensuite bathroom needs a bit of upgrading. It looks rather tired compared to the bedroom. But at least it was kept clean. The towel rail was never warm so towels did not dry properly. The fan in the bathroom did not work.

A good sized room. Comfortable bed. A quiet location. Very nice welcome with a cream tea. Although no coffee making facilities in the room, coffee was brought up to the room on request with a smile.

Kettle, tea and coffee in the room would have been nice. Making tea and coffee in the guest area was ok but not easy because no table space.

Location. Large room. Comfortable. Afternoon tea and scones served to the room was really nice.

Don’t stay on the ground floor, the noise is terrible and it’s too close to reception meaning you hear everything and it’s hard to sleep

The location was close to a tube station and local to shops etc

Lots of narrow stairs to climb three floors to room and for some reason there is no small fridge in the room as it would be nice to be able to keep water / drinks / some food there for handiness as there are no other food or bar facilities available.

Location is excellent, continental breakfast was perfect start to the day served either in room or on nice sofas in small hotel lobby area, rooms very comfortable and staff are very efficient.

No food room service apart from breakfast and high tea. No big deal though as it is closest to everything.

A very convenient place to be. Closest to my own point of interest such as shopping, choices of restaurant and my early morning walks at Hyde Park is a must.

Room a little dark. I thought I could smell stale cigarettes. I felt the reception staff seemed to tell me the details as if ‘here we go again’ and not many smiles. It was probably because English was not their first language.

Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Good coffee. Delicious scones. Staff helpful when I rang them from my room.

My only concern was eventual fire safety- I missed an emergency fire ladder -just in case. And the breakfast consisted every day of the same jam and the breadrolls and croissants were prebaked and just finished for breakfast. A bit minimalistic for a 4 star house. Finally, the safe was relatively small, therefore not suitable for persons traveling with a larger computer.

I had a wonderful room with a lot of privacy and my own balcony on the last floor. A little feeling of Mary Poppins… Breakfast was served upon previous booking in the room- wonderful! The room was very cosy and offered everything I needed- including a proper cupboard!

The shower in the bathroom needs updating and not having tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms is an inconvenience.

Location was excellent... right in the heart of Knightsbridge but very quiet area as the hotel is on a cul-de-sac. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The cleanliness was a bit disappointing. There were a couple of hairs in the shower (I’m a blonde so they definitely weren’t mine!) and some stains on the carpet, headboard and throw that were a bit off putting. The fancy tap was also a bit of a nuisance as it was tricky to turn off and I could tell it would be a nightmare to clean!!

I checked in after midnight and the staff were as friendly and informative as if I had checked in in the middle of the day.

The kettle is not available in the room. It is not convenient to get any tea by going back and forth the room and the lounge area. The TV set didn't work. All facilities should have been checked before letting guest checking in the room.

Very close to tube, and Harrods.

Although the room I stayed in was the most up to date in regards to interior it looked a little tired in places, it was also in the basement and I was looking out at a wall and had very little daylight but as I was staying for one night and had booked last minute at a very reasonable price, I minded less.

The staff was very accommodating. I have been before and knew what to expect. Room very clean and quiet and my room was ready upon request at 11.00. A taxi was suggested to me when I said I had little time for appointment, and it arrived within 3 minutes. Scones and tea was offered, which is a nice treat. Excellent service.

Paintwork Wallpaper Wardrobes Curtains Lack of hanging space

Location was superb, close to shops, restaurants and transport Lovely touch to have complimentary tea and scones - really appreciated that after our early morning flight. Staff were pleasant and helpful However, our room was dated in terms of decor and needs a complete overhaul - new curtains, carpet, wallpaper etc. and the wardrobe is a battle to open and close, the doors need to be trimmed and re-hung. The curtains were falling off their track, and were dirty (after trying to draw them closed, we had to wash hands from the dust on them!). We had wet raincoats coming back to hotel on one day of our stay, but there was nowhere to put them so we had to put one on the back of the chair and another on top of the bed - not ideal! Install some wall hooks and back of door hooks for this purpose. It’s these small details that can annoy guests. The bathroom shower was good, lovely towels and bathrobes - but again it was frustrating as when a towel was used and damp, there was no hook or towel rail to hang it to dry out. If you put it on the main towel rail it would ruin the fresh unused towels. Why not provide more wall mounted hooks or rails to help air the used towels (& therefore use them a second time). We didn’t expect towels to be changed during our 2 night stay, and it could save costs for the hotel if you don’t have to change towels mid-stay. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was good quality. We slept well the second night after turning off the radiator. Guests would benefit from a member of staff explaining about room temperature and how to adjust it, as the first night we were far too warm to sleep well but didn’t realise the radiator was at full steam (as we had been out most of the evening). Overall, however, we had a good stay. Subject to decor upgrade, we would love to book this property again.
