- The floor/ceiling windows meant that it was the best view we have ever had on a holiday. - The magic tricks at breakfast meant it was an unforgettable experience! - Lots of small, little touches that were really lovely (for example, bottles of wine/homemade carrot cake on arrival/the most friendliest cat!). - Despite it being a rural location, the internet was fantastic! - Lovely breakfast options.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The Cottage and the room are fanstastic and very comfortable. The room was spotless, spacious, and equipped with all amenities. The new bathroom with a jacuzzi and a balcony with a table and chairs were a nice addition. The hosts were so nice and really kind, we loved chatting with them during breakfast and when we were coming back from hikes. The Cottage is conveniently located close to Scarborough, Whitby, and North York Moors National Park - a perfect spot for everyone willing to explore the area and have a relaxing evening after a long day.

The Wood Cottage was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The hospitality of the hosts added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. Overall, my weekend break in Yorkshire was a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and cultural immersion. I highly recommend this charming region to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the heart of the English countryside.

Fantastic host. Great location. Clean, comfortable. What more do you want. The extra little touches for breakfast were great. Secure ease parking. Only 1 step. Prefect for anyone with mobility problems. Quite location but not too out of the way. Great value for money. We will be back.

Honestly there was nothing we didn't enjoy about our stay. The whole experience was fabulous. We will definitely return for another stay!

Such a beautiful place to stay, the cottage was clean, warm and welcoming. Gorgeous views from our room, the full length windows and the balcony were a lovely addition to an already pretty room. It was the perfect base for exploring the local area - we visited Dalby Forest and Scarborough, both were only a short drive away. Sandra and David couldn't do enough for us and were really accommodating when we had to be up and out early providing us with a breakfast outside of their usual hours.

Small towels for bath would have liked bath sheets. Bathrobe said size large to extra large. For a size 18 woman little was covered. Would have been too small for most men.

The log burner was amazing. Even though it was on the grounds of the house, it still felt secluded. Waking up to ducks and hens trotting round the grounds on a morning was like something from an Enid Blyton storybook.

Property is located near to where I wanted to be so reduced travelling time It was warm, cosy and easy to heat. We stayed during a storm and it was lovely hearing the wind and rain lashing down

We stayed in the Wood Cottage chalet for 2 nights. Everything was perfect for our stay wish we could of stayed longer. Easy to find and excellent instructions provided by the owners on how to access the property. Good base for sightseeing. Sandra and David very welcoming. The welcome pack on arrival was lovely as was the offer of continental breakfast in the house or to be brought to the chalet, lovely choice of items and as we had booked the chalet which had a kitchen we didn't get to sample as we had come prepared. We loved watching the hens and the Indian runner ducks running around the garden. We definitely will book again and already thinking of our next trip.
