A little noisy in the morning on the road side with the bin lorry’s coming early. The shower didn’t drain to well so it nearly overflowed.

Hearing traffic . Manhole outside on road ,which when a car or lorry hit it ,you got a big thud. Earplugs supplied but would definitely benefit from better double glazed windows. Toilet in bathroom could do with a good clean under the rim

The property was lovely, very warm and inviting with an amazing atmosphere, the staff were extremely welcoming friendly and helpful. The food was really good! My room was stunning one of the nicest places I have stayed so far. It felt calm it was comfortable and it was clean, I checked everywhere it was clean clean. I would definetely come here again for pleasure. Special thanks to Holly for being so lovely and making me feel at home straight away she was engaging, friendly and seemed genuinely interested in what I was doing and seemed like she really did want me to enjoy my stay.

It just needs a little attention to detail. The breakfast was excellent, but took 40 min to arrive, even though it was not busy. "Fresh" milk was provided in the mini-fridge: a lovely touch, if it hadn't been curdled. The heating wouldn't turn on. We didn't like to bother the staff, as they'd already helped us with parking (very limited) and Internet (the free Internet for guests wasn't working properly, so they're given us access to the staff Internet). So small things added up to make it a not an entirely pleasant stay.

You could tell they were really trying. The rooms have been done up nicely, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful (see below). Good location and reasonable price. Netflix in the rooms was a bonus.

The only thing I would note would be the noise levels, but to be expected when staying in a pub right next to the road.

Quirky aesthetics but done to a high standard. Our room was very clean with amazing amenities. The Lazy Pug team and general atmosphere made our stay even better, so friendly and welcoming!

Traffic noise at the front of the hotel was loud when trying to sleep - to be fair they provided earplugs so its clearly a known challenge and i'd imagine they arent allowed to double glaze given the area.

Staff were excellent, in particular Morgan who couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome - rooms were nice and the breakfast was excellent

The breakfast that I had, scrambled eggs and crispy bacon with toast was crap. I'd asked for crispy bacon and it wasn't I sent it back when it came back it still wasn't crispy but better but by then the toast was wet .

Apart from a couple of stands of hair in the shower there wasn't anything we disliked about our stay.

We must say that Morgan was very very helpful with every question we had to ask. She was absolutely great, sorted the heating out for us and made us feel very welcome.

Breakfast was lovely, even the effort to provide continental on Christmas Day when kitchen closed was very well done. Very clean, comfortable. Good showers and fluffy towels. Stand very cheerful, friendly and helpful.
