The weather was quite unseasonably cold and the room was also quite cold.

Very pretty, tastefully decorated and well-equipped Inn from the 16th Century. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and bedside reading lights. The bathroom was a decent size with a bath/shower. Breakfast was very tasty and substantial.

Breakfast was only being served after 9am, however a packed lunch was provided as an alternative. There was no iron available.

Nicely appointed room with comfy bed in a 16th century country pub that had lots of great features. Excellent food served in the pub restaurant, with helpful, friendly staff onsite.

Only a curtain between bedroom & bathroom. I guess some people wouldn't mind that but I prefer an actual door between toilet & bed!

Very warm welcome, great host. Very thoughtful - upgrade on arrival 👌 Outstanding breakfast, freshly cooked beautifully, very generous portions, excellent!

    The weather.

Excellent cooked breakfast. Location at other end of village where we were spending Christmas Day with family. Quirky room, pub built 1591, but quirky decor , very unusual and interesting.

It was a pub - obviously had other customers, but the pub had a nice friendly atmosphere. A bit short of parking. That said, we were able to park, so not able to say that this is a problem.

Breakfast was very good, staff were very friendly and exceedingly helpful - nothing was too much.

We had 2 rooms. The bedrooms had very low ceilings. The large room on the top floor had sloping ceilings & not much full height around the bed . Strangely you entered the bedroom through the bathroom. There was nice coffee & tea in the rooms but no milk. No wardrobe’s. Towels could be better too.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Location good as attending wedding in Hassocks. Good full English breakfast.

Wonderful little boutique pub with rooms. Rooms very well furnished and finished, exceptionally clean. Not large, but thats part of the charm. Pub very accomodating to our unusual arrival and departure times. Lovely lunch in the main bar.

See above, the late breakfast was not a problem for us, but anybody for whom it would be should sort out an earlier service with the Inn.

The breakfast was very good indeed. The problem was that service only started at 09.00 and the breakfast was slow to emerge. The rom was small but well equipped and the shower room was a good size and well equipped.

Might have been nice to have a bit more soap and shampoo choice in the room. Also, when I use my shower, had a visit from the staff as it seems to be leaking. Was a bit nervous about having another one in the morning. On the whole, the room was comfortable and cosy. The coffee and tea-making facilities were Brill.

Courteous staff, chilled out and friendly pub vibe. Smashing full English breakfast prepared lovingly by Pete. There's also a few dedicated parking spaces for guests just at the side of the pub. Parking also available on the road. Nice and close to the A 23. Would stay again :-)

Unfortunately, the pub and the rooms have seen better days. The bedrooms are quite small but adequate for a one night stay. There was a distinct smell of drains in our bathroom but I forgot to mention it on our departure.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, although we didn’t appreciate the white sliced bread and we weren’t offered an alternative. They had our rooms ready on arrival at 1pm which was very helpful.
