Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough the property looks very drab from the front, on entering the welcome by Tia was lovely. She went out of her way to explain everything with a smile and left us all the details we needed for our stay. The room was comfortable and clean, exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay. Although we were at the front of the property on the busy main road earplugs we're provided although we found we didn't need them. I would use the property again for a short stay

United KingdomUnfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed and have been since the pandemic which i was not aware of. I like staying in pub/restaurant hotels and always look for these. I was not happy to leaving the hotel to get a drink and something to eat, especially as it rained on my return!
The room was very clean and spacious and the wi fi was good. The person I dealt with was very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomIt was unfortunate that there was no food available, so we had to go down the road for breakfast and other meals. This was not really a problem, as there were eateries quite close. The front of the property looked very sad
The location was excellent for our visit. The room was pleasant and the bathroom facilities were good. The double galzing meant we were not troubled by the traffic noise.

United KingdomThe busy road might concern some people but I found it fine. The pub was currently shut which was a shame but then it was nice and quiet on the plus side !
The price was attractive for the area and the purpose I needed to stay in Wilton . Very clean and lovely room I had, that was shown to me by a very helpful and professional Tia . I arrived a bit late but she was exceptionally understanding thank goodness. Easy self check out and great central location to the town .

United KingdomWe were slightly disappointed that the pub side wasn't open so we couldn't get food and drink on site, but we were told of all the local places we could visit, all within walking distance, so it worked out just fine.
Location was great, very close to where we were visiting, the room was fabulous and very clean.

United KingdomI was greeted warmly on arrival by Tia who kindly helped me carry my luggage to the room. The room and the bed were extremely comfortable and clean. A tray which included the means to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate plus two delicious biscuits was available. The bathroom was clean and the shower efficient. Shops and coffee shops within easy walking distance. I’m glad I chose The Wheatsheaf

United KingdomSlightly noisy during the evening due to its proximity to the road, but this has been compensated by pair of ear buds found in the room.
Charming old building, good room size and a very comfortable double bed. It was a really good one night stay and thanks to Tia, our host, for looking after us.

United KingdomThe plumbing was a touch noisy but that was to be expected due to aforementioned pending renovations.
I was told the Inn was soon to start renovation so did not expect 'The Ritz'. Also I was pleased there was to be no breakfast as I was in the town to attend a huge lunch!

United KingdomWe knew in advance that the building is right on a busy A-road. The host provided ear plugs in the room, although we did not need to use them and slept pretty well. I suppose if you're sensitive to noise at night, you'd probably choose somewhere else to stay.
Very welcoming reception, shown personally to room, which was very clean and comfortable for our one-night stay. Few minutes easy walk into Wilton.

United KingdomThe information that the pub was shut wasn't highlighted on the booking screen. I had to trawl back through the covid update on the site and it was pretty well hidden. The upshot was that we needed to get food elsewhere. There are some amazing pubs a short walk away so it wasn't that big an issue but it's not like having food on-site.
The owner was very friendly. She helped us find a place to eat. The room was very comfortable, very clean. There is a bit of road noise from the road but you get used to it and it drops overnight. We will definitely stay again if the pub reopens next time we are passing.
