Steep drive, room needed a dust and finish needed work. Loose towel rail. Also they came in on day 2, moved towel etc, rather than change them. Was not aware they did this and had not left room that tidy. Do wife a little upset as not sure who's towels wS who's and one towel we had put on floor. If going to do this just take towels away or ask if you want room making up.

Improvement on some vegetarian options in the evening menu please as it was predominately meat heavy.

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I travelled with my dog and they were very dog friendly so didn't feel any restrictions with him in tow. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable.

We had paid for a full breakfast but it was only available between 9.10 - 10am. Due to other commitments, we had to check out by 9am and a hot breakfast could not be arranged earlier. We had a nice continental breakfast taken to our room but not the same as a proper breakfast.

Beautiful location, well furnished room with good quality bed linen and towels. Great pub with open fires.
