We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomUnfortunately, we had to draw management's attention on one occasion to a poor attempt at housekeeping in the room. This was rectified quickly and satisfactorily. Parking facilities in fron of the hotel are extremely limited, although we managed to find a space on most occasions (footnote: the curtains in room 20 require some professional attention)
without exception, all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent with a stunning view across the bay. The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning, offering a good variet of choices.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Lovely, luxurious room with bath and balcony. We were also able to borrow umbrellas which were sadly needed on the first day. Great location and access to wonderful Vectis bus service. Many thanks. We'll definitely be back!

United Kingdoma hook on each of the curtains was off their rings so unable to fully draw the curtains. Only an issue for those who like a black out. As the curtains are so long, I wonder if it would be easier to draw them and less risk of hooks popping of the rings if had a stiff pole on each curtain to draw them

United KingdomWe asked for a twin room and there were two single beds but they were pushed together to make a double. The pillows were really awful and lumpy and the duvet wasn’t nice either. For our personal taste the heat in the room was really intense and too hot and stuffy, we was able to turn the radiator off in the bedroom but not in the bathroom. Again this is personal preference but maybe if the heating was on the middle setting and not the highest it may be more comfortable.
We loved the locations and the views from our bedroom. Loved the lay out of the room. Breakfast was really delicious and quick service. The staff were really friendly

United KingdomWaiting around for staff to man the reception desk when we arrived and again when we checked out. We were checked out by someone who appeared to be the builder. All afternoon and throughout the night we stayed at the Wellington, a guest in the room next to us had a radio playing. Subsequently our sleep was hugely limited. However there were no staff around to ask for assistance.
The location, close to the sea front and the sea views from the bedroom. Our room was a good size as was the bathroom, and the entrance lobby was well sized and nicely decorated.

United KingdomAll my emails from The Wellington had said that in January and February there were no bar or breakfast facilities. As it was, they were not available during our stay in late March either; this was disappointing and even confusing, as there were tables in the restaurant set out for diners and music playing outside the bar area!
The central location with a balcony to view the sea. Lovely to look out at night and see the moonlight on the water. The room was serviced each day and free-streaming was available on the TV. The Rex Fine Dining restaurant was just up the road and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there.
