Room was quite noisy through the night, this may have been the wind blowing a loose door or window, but it went on occasionally through the night.

Excellent food, both dinner and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Car Parking easy.

Great location, comfortable bed, nice traditional room, great bathroom, staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, and so was dinner. The hotel has a great atmosphere, a very relaxed "country hotel" but also an upmarket north Cornwall feel. Boscastle is a lovely place, would definitely recommend the Wellington and would stay again.

    Nothing.

The history of the hotel was fantastic and loved it. The staff were very pleasant, friendly, welcoming and helpful on check-in and this was the same throughout. The online process of booking a table for dinner was straightforward and providing menus online made gave you an idea of the food available and facilitated the process of ordering the food at dinner time and the service and food at dinner was wonderful with the service very efficient and quick. The room was great with comfortable beds and made for a great night's sleep and breakfast was just as great as dinner. If in the area again I would definitely look at staying here again. The location was great with the scenery extremely stunning and beautiful and made it one of the best hotel stays ever.

A beautiful traditional hotel recently taken over by St Austell Brewery so they also serve great ale. Breakfast was served in a really beautiful dining room rather than the bar as is often the case for these sort of places. Only 2 mins walk from the centre of boscastle. Parking is very limited but the main boscastle car park is only 6 or 7 mins walk.

My room was in the loft area - so lots of stairs (got lost once or twice as a bit of a maze!) and needing to bend in certain places in room. Would have liked a fridge in the room.

My favourite thing was the location in Boscastle. Was lucky with parking and got a space easily in the small carpark. Staff were lovely and so friendly (both hotel and bar). Good continental breakfast choice (and could buy a cooked breakfast if wanted). I stayed in a twin room.

Rooms were a bit warm as no air con and window didn’t open that wide

What a lovely hotel, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, super dog friendly fabulous location and stunning views. What’s not to love about this place. The rooms that are dog friendly do not smell of dog, everywhere is dog friendly and we just loved it.

I was in room 10 which has what looks like an industrial extractor fan attached to the wall outside the room, from the kitchen. It is quite noisy and starts at 0730 until about 2230. The noise was intrusive. It stopped the possibility of lie ins, and early nights which isn't really fair when you're on holiday.

The staff were great, the food was great, the room itself was very good.

Nothing at all which I didn’t like! Only things to note are that the rooms are a little dated (personally I think that adds to the charm of Boscastle!), and breakfast did seem chaotic at times, with just the one member of staff there it did take quite a while to initially place your order. Couldn’t fault the food though!

Such a lovely cosy place to stay. Coming to Boscastle is like coming ‘home’ for me, and being able to relax at The Welly made the whole trip so much more lovely. Super comfy bed, scrumptious food, and friendly staff. I’ll be back for sure!

Better choice on the menu for us .Otherwise everything else was fine.

The Hotel is lovely , in an excellent location .The Bedroom we had Room 16 , was once occupied in 1940 buy Guy Gibson who led the Dambusters Raid .The history of the hotel is amazing. The Staff are all very pleasant ,and polite. The bedding and pillows are first class ,which gave us an excellent night's sleep . The Breakfast was superb , which sets you up for the day . We never used the Restaurant as the menu choice was not for us .But we would d definitely go back .
