The weather! which was no fault of the hotel!

Our rooms were lovely and Simon on reception was extremely helpful. I had only booked a single room, but had been allocated a beautiful very spacious double room

The hotel is slightly dated and only one lift..also only scrambled egg served at breakfast.We had a room at the front and it was very noisy outside Friday and Saturday night..

We had a sea view but it was very noisy at night. The noise was from the adjacent street which was very busy until the early hours of the morning. The window was only single glazed which didn’t help

It needed a lot of TLC the room need cleaning up repainting and filling in. The bathroom had stained on the porcelain and the lift was a bit slow and stopped a couple of times and had to be rebooted breakfast was disappointing and the coffee was cheap and horrible

The location was great for us, close to shops and harbour. The room was great, we were upgraded and had everything we needed. With breakfast included you can't go wrong.

Yes the lift is slow & another would be very welcome but this is such a minor thing. Will be stopping again.

Spacious room overlooking the town/harbour with nesting seagull outside as a bonus. Breakfast hot , tasty & fresh. All staff very friendly & helpful ,Man on the desk in the evenings especially. Bar staff & all waiting staff were efficient . Location just perfect , had a lovely time visiting family, shopping & walking.

I asked for rooms close together but we weren't even on the same floor! Also it said rooms had walk in shower but my room didn't. It was shower over a bath which was disappointing!

Check-in was not easy. There is nowhere to deposit your luggage and pick up your car park discount token from reception. Busy public car park is 75 yards away. Our bathroom was small with a poor ventilation fan which led to an awful smell throughout. Fault was reported. There is only one lift to service 111 bedroom guests and this broke down the next morning!! Overall the hotel although tired was good value as a B&B for one night.

As we were going to see the Ukraine Opera House production of Carmen at the Princess Theatre; we stayed at this hotel due to its location to the theatre. The bedroom on the fourth floor was spacious and provided a nice sea view. Breakfast was good, plentiful and in a very nice large room with street views!

We had three twin rooms for our group and one room stank of sewage which seemed to be worse at night. The occupant has a huge nose which means he smelt it more than most people!!

Check out was 10am. This isn't ideal if you've been on a night out. 11am would be better! Parking was ok but the process could be improved... Having to pick up a key card before and dropping it off after was a bit of a faff.

Room with a view fantastic but a warning for those sleeping lightly, it's on a busy road with passers by untill late. Although It was a Friday night and didn't affect our stay.

Very spacious room, good room decor, and upgraded fixings for an older building, lovley original features still present throughout. Friendly front of house employees. Didn't eat or drink at the hotel, but the bar looked to be busy, yet relaxed when passing. I would recommend staying here, we stayed for 1 night, parking was convenient, and only £10 for 24 hours in the multi-storey behind the hotel, just a min walk. Shops, pubs, cafes, and the sea front all right outside your hotel.

The bathroom could’ve done with a little more ventilation as the window in there didn’t open. The staff member who was on the desk late at night was unreasonably rude, condescending and miserable, to the point where it affected the rest of our stay; when we checked out it was the same staff member who checked us in (who couldn’t have been more lovely), and had we not had the experience we did earlier in the night, we would’ve stuck around to chat a bit, we also would’ve had breakfast, but that guy really left us with a bad taste in our mouths.

Check-in and check-out was very easy, the reception staff who greeted us on both of those occasions were incredibly nice and helpful, really warm and welcoming and it was a pleasure to have spoken to them. The room itself was very spacious, great view, clean to a good standard, WiFi was also reliable. Perfect location, right by everything you’d need.
