We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

ThailandBecause contact with the accommodation had to be sent via Booking.com it led to communication problems. I rang rhe telephone number many times to get my security code on the key safe and was told 2 or 3 times that it had been sent. This was true but Booking.com didn 't send it via a new email they attached it to a 9 day old email where I didn't think to look. So I had anxious moments wondering if I would be able to get into the unstaffed accommodation. Then the penny dropped. I wasn't alone here. A couple I met at breakfast also had problems with communications
I have stayed twice at Tennyson which indicates that I am happy with the accommodation.

United KingdomI have stayed before in room 5. This time, I was in room 8. The curtains were thin, which made me wake up earlier than usual. The shower was very powerful, and I could not get a comfortable temperature. It was either too hot or luke warm.
Large comfy room. Nice location and easy to find. Convenient for city centre.

My daughter and I stayed in the studio room which was perfect size for us and no stairs to climb. We felt as though we had more privacy in that section.

United KingdomI was a little disappointed with the breakfast on offer and thought there didn`t seem to be much in the way of choice. The breakfast wasn`t very accommodating for my partner who is Gluten Free. Also I thought that the kitchen wasn`t really very well equipped... I thought there could have been more in the way of cutlery available in the drawer, including teaspoons and also there wasn`t much in the way of kitchen utensils, for example a bread knife and bread board would have been useful for us.
I liked the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the room was very spacious and had good tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was comfy and the room wasn`t too warm or stuffy. There was also a lovely view of the river outside of our bedroom window.

AustraliaLocation was OK, on ring road & not in the best part of town. But you get what you paid for. Breakfast was in the room on a tray & perishables in the fridge, which you carried to the dining space. Lack of bowls for cereal & utensils - checked dishwasher & still not enough on a per person basis. Quality of nearby places to eat not good. You needed to go up the high street to town centre or for restaurants up to the cathedral area. There is no reception or person on site so anyone without internet or phone access was lost. Some foreigners don’t use international roaming.

United KingdomLocation does mean some traffic noise but earplugs were provided. Instructions about parking could have been clearer. Some rooms have allocated numbered parking spaces, others don’t have a space. On street parking nearby was easy enough though.
Clean, decent sized room, good communication about how to get in, and an immediate response when I had a question. plenty of supplies for a light breakfast and hot drinks, communal area was clean and light and modern too. Across from a big park/common for some fresh air or walkable/near bus route into city centre. I didn’t hear any noise from other occupants.

United Kingdom- Although overall clean, some things were overlooked e.g. there were false eyelashes on the bedside table, bedding had burn holes and hair in bed - Blinds do not block out light so sleep mask needed - Road noise is very loud even with earplugs and windows shut, so hard to not be disturbed while sleeping - Room was chilly and duvet thin

Accessing the building was easy, toilet and bath were clean with toileteries available. Serene and conducive environment. The kitchen and sitting area were nicely kept, I loved the idea of breakfast and different types of tea available in the room. Overall, it was a really nice place.

United KingdomNo lift/elevator to upper floor. Room a little difficult to find. Property felt slightly isolated and some taxi drivers found it hard to locate. Breakfast items were only replaced on 2 ocasions of our 3-day stay. No pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, plates, cups in kitchen. No microwave in kitchen. Nothing to eat breakfast and/or food on.
An upstairs twin room in a large house a little far from the centre of Lincoln. A furnished twin room with small en-suite bathroom that contained a sink, shower and toilet. Room had one desk with some draws between the two single beds, plus another small table with the free breakfast items. Small fridge and kettle also provided in room. Rubbish bin beneath the breakfast table. Several plug sockets in the room. The free breakfast included small boxes of sereal, some biscuits, a slice of chese per person, slices of bread, butter, jam/honey and a tin of beans. Tea/coffee provided plus sugar and milk. Large shared lounge and kitchen on ground floor. Keys to enter both the house and room. Tactile number on room doors. Free good speed WiFi throughout building. Owner/manager gave good communication via email, with instructions to find external lockbox for keys and codes to access the lockbox. Also info to access the WiFi.

United KingdomThere was a lot of noise coming from room 7 on Tuesday night. It was a small grop of 3 or 4 staying in the room. They were very loud, not only while talking and communicating with each other, but also loud when going in or out of the room.
Over all, I was satisfied with my stay.
