I had no issues - literally just needed somewhere for the night that was clean and simple.

Both evening and morning staff were great, breakfast was made to order so also great. Super simple as all I needed was a bed for the night and breakfast before I left for the day. Check in was simple too. The pub was bustling but there was a jolly vibe which was nice.

the first room window didn’t open and the radiator couldn’t be regulated. there was a dog barking next door every time I moved

The bedroom is quite a tight fit and the basin had been cracked with a hairline crack - really unfortunate because the quality of the hotel for price is good.Hot water / heating and plenty of fresh towels etc.

The staff are really helpful and kind. The restaurant offers excellent fresh food, unlike many hotels this has freshly made on site chargrilled steak or vegetarian options. Breakfast was lush.

The breakfast was absolutely perfect - fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by whatever we wanted. The quality was A1. Similarly the evening meal was exactly what we wanted - good pub grub served by friendly and help staff - Alice in particular. The hotel had a secure car park and was less than 10 miles from Antiques in tents where we were exhibiting. The location for us was ideal.

Location near where I needed to be. Staff very friendly and attentive.

No evening meals on a Tuesday night - who knew. Breakfast baked beans were stone cold. Mattress not comfortable at all. There was no desk in the room - there was enough space in room to have one.

As it's above a bar, there was noise from the pub but this was to be expected and was no problem with ear plugs.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was lovely with veggie options. It was right on Offas Dyke that we were walking.

The first room we were given was very small and we had to ask for a change, also we paid good money and in current conditions on the third night we stayed there, the towels were not changed, the bin not emptied and the bathroom not cleaned, no cleaning was done at all, and for the price paid we expected a better service.

Wifi reception wasn't 100% reliable, so tended to use my mobile data. The coffee and milk sachets in the room weren't refilled.

The c ar park was always accessible. Our evening meal - steak and ale pie was more than enough. Never had a pie with so much steak in it! Utterly delicious. Breakfast was very tasty and more than plentiful. The staff were all very welcoming and courteous.
