Chips on the floor at breakfast time this morning. As chips are not serviced for breakfast the floor had not been cleaned from the night before which is not good! A double room booked for two occupants with one chair. No hanging space for long dresses or suit bags which is odd for a wedding venue, many guests would have found this useful I am sure. The wardrobe was cut short by a drawer. Put a coat hanger up somewhere. There was decaf coffee in the room and available in the restaurant but it is really not very pleasant at all . The first night of our stay there was a wedding on and in the middle of the night there was a young women running around outside the rooms swearing and screeching for about 45 minutes . Where were hotel security? It was very worrying and disturbed a lot of people who then spent quite sometime discussing the episode loudly outside. She was clearly someone from the wedding party on the Friday as the other people from the wedding finally sorted it out. I appreciate it is difficult for hotel staff but the lack of consideration for other guests and maybe a reminder that other people were staying in the hotel not just their wedding guests and a bit of consideration would have been appreciated. We actually stayed two nights which is what we booked but staff went into our room and made the bed while we were out. I would have appreciated knowing this was going to happen as we had locked the door and had left our personal property in the room and would have put things away. We were attending a wedding but the chairs at the reception were very small, wobbly and not very comfortable to sit on or get off of. One chair with arms, the arms were very wobbly and in need of repair.

We had a good size room but I do think it is expensive . It was warm when we arrived which was inviting after travelling to the Hotel. The bathroom was huge. The staff were very pleasant. Food choices for breakfast were good, but the service was different from the Saturday to the Sunday so we had to work out what we were doing on the Sunday, where as tables were set for Breakfast on the Saturday no tables were laid on Sunday and the whole thing was self service. A bit confusing!

Very good value for money. Room was basic but clean and comfortable with private bathroom. Good parking. Food was good in restaurant and a good choice for breakfast In large grounds with outdoor bar and seating area

Been to the stanwick on a few occasions for a wedding, family dinner and christening, stayed at the hotel twice, the staff are very accomodating and the location is stunning, the room was in perfect condition and the breakfast always has tasty, fresh ingredients.

Vegetarian / healthy choices in restaurant very limited. I had fish and chips. The fish was laden with oil. The chips too dry and tasteless. I chose fruit juices to drink and both choices very laden with additives and sweeteners.

There's nothing to dislike

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice.

Some intermittent road noise into the bathroom. (My room was situated in part of a block of chalet-like rooms.) However, closing the bathroom door was very effective in blocking this noise from the bedroom. The main door to the room was difficult to close, seemingly snagging on the carpet. However, given that this door opens on to the external pathway, a tight seal is required (e.g. for protection against possible intrusion of insects, slugs, etc.).

Although the room was a little small, it was quite satisfactory for a night or two. The bed was comfortable and the cleanliness very good. The vegetarian breakfast was excellent, as was the egg mayonnaise sandwich with salad and chips. The bar is friendly and during 'Wacky Wednesday' the beer is cheaper to buy. I had the impression that 'Locals' frequent the bar, which is a good sign too. Parking spaces are plentiful, which given the location is essential.
