Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLighting in the rooms, but that’s more to do with my age. Room design is cool and on trend with low lighting, dark colour theme.
Great location in Glasgow, cool vibe, will definitely stay again.

United KingdomBit too big and cool for me. Not sure I am the right demographic. Seems like a hotel for young trendy people and I am an old man! Having said that I would stay there again if I was in Glasgow.
Great location and very friendly welcome by hotel staff.

AustraliaA small fridge would be good and more generous milk and coffee.
The location is fairly central, walking distance to the train station. There is construction working going on next door but it didn’t bother us at all. The facilities are very ‘smart’ and it all went smoothly. Very impressed with the inclusion of washing and drying

United KingdomNo stairs! I could see the staircase on the ground floor, but the corresponding area on the accommodation floor seemed to be an emergency exit. I'm not a massive fan of lifts, so prefer to use stairs where possible, and also as I was leaving the hotel to go out that evening both lifts seemed to be being held on other floors because they took ages to arrive. If you're in a rush, you just want to run down the stairs. I think there may have been another bank of lifts but there was no signage anywhere on the accommodation floors, so you just had to stick with the ones you'd been initially directed to, or wander around looking strange. And as always, I think a small fridge in hotel rooms would be a very handy addition. I do like to spend time in hotel rooms that I've paid for, and there's never enough milk provided for coffees, so having a little fridge to keep your own in would save having to ask reception for lots of the little single-use plastic containers of it. I ended up, as usual, nipping to a shop and buying some sachets of latte.
I arrived early at the hotel in order to ask if I could drop my bag off. The extremely helpful lady actually checked me in and gave me a room two hours early! As it was a very hot day and I'd been up for about 8 hours at this point, you can imagine how welcome this was. The room was very comfortable with coffee-making facilities, a large TV (which I managed to cast Amazon Prime from my phone on to), and a large shower with an adjustable head which is quite rare these days. Enough coat hangers for a one or two night stay, and plenty of other storage options. Very nice toiletries, including body lotion, which was a nice touch. There are so many facilities which you're not going to use as a single person on a one-night stay, but these included a pool table, comfy area for reading books, decent-sized bar/restaurant, laundry, and a gym. Less than a mile from the main train station, few minutes' walk to the river and shops, and about a 40 minute stroll along the river to the Hydro which was my destination for the evening. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

United StatesThe only thing we wished we had was a place to “unpack” like a set of drawers but there were some cabinets available!
Seriously one of the best (if not the best) place I’ve ever stayed! The location was great, about a 15 minute walk to the train station and close to bars and restaurants. The on-site restaurant was good as well! Our room was so comfortable and every detail was thought of- enough plug ins and toiletries provided. We especially loved the free laundry on site and the complimentary Prosecco upon arrival. There was a TON to do in the hotel as well (pool tables, ping pong, gym, and lounge). The staff was the BEST part. Jessica and Bronwen gave us amazing recommendations for all kinds of food (pubs vs chippies vs rooftop bars) and everyone that we interacted with was so helpful and kind. Can’t recommend this place enough!

United KingdomI know there's a lot of floors, but personally i like the option to use the staircase to get to your room or down to reception, it only seemed to be for emergency use only that I could see. But that's a small thing
Loved The Social Hub, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the staff were very friendly. Everything looked modern and clean, and the Pool/Table Tennis tables were a nice touch. The room was excellent, modern, comfy, clean & air conditioned which was really really appreciated during a hot weekend! Rooms were also soundproofed, i barely heard a thing while there (and i arrived while Celtic fans were celebrating in the street!) I didn't hear a thing from adjacent rooms, it was perfect. I really couldn't have enjoyed my stay more.

United KingdomThe only negative for me was the lighting at the sink, it would have been great to have had more light above rather than just round the mirror. That said, I get that's the design of the room which we loved all other aspects of.
