Most expensive night of our 8 nights in Devon/Cornwall probably owing to the popularity of Port Isaac

Lovely bedroom with adjoining sitting room. Beautifully decorated with spotless bathroom. Tasty breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. Characterful listed building in very central location.

Parking a little far away. But the view on the walk there is great.

The property was full of character, handy to everything and the staff were great. Very clean and tidy room. Great breakfast.

The only thing was that the bathroom was incredibly small. We appreciate that the building is historic and old and having an ensuite put in must have been difficult. But we regularly got scalded by the radiator when we bent over! We didn't mind the small bedroom as we got used to manoeuvring around the bed and we really enjoyed the beautiful views from the balcony. But we scored 10 out of 10 despite the size of the bathroom as everything else was exceptional. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

The location of the hotel was phenomenonal: being on the platt where the action was. We had a beautiful room with a balcony. The service was excellent. Steve checked us in and always had a friendly Hello for us. We saw him work very hard throughout the days we were there. The breakfast we had was delicious and in an unique and very bright room.

It is a beautiful quirky hotel in an excellent location. The staff are fantastic and the breakfast is delicious. The veggie sausages are superb, and I'm not usually a veggie substitute fan. They are like bubble and squeak in sausage form. If you are a Doc Martin fan, you are right in the thick of it here. It's a traditional old Cornish building, so not designed for someone over 6ft, so be careful. But it's a great hotel and the staff are lovely. Ebony in particular was very helpful and has great taste in music. Plenty of good places nearby, The Golden Lion and Black are both well worth a visit. Just bring some sturdy boots, as it's nice and hilly around there. Highly recommend a stay at the Slipway.

It was a wonderful 2 days and nights. I slept well, drank well & ate very well. Service was great & friendly people. Only downside was the internet did not work. Something about BT problem being fixed. Still a epic stay and Port Isaac turned on a sunny Sunday too.

This is a great little hotel right in the heart of Port Isaac. We stayed so that we could have dinner at Fish Kitchen nearby. The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating when I wanted to switch rooms. We didn't eat at the hotel but the food, as we passed through, looked fantastic.

We were the only guests staying at the Slipway for that night. The hosts remained opened on reception to show us around and came in especially for us to have breakfast (which was delicious and made to order). It's not possible to park here, but all of the information via Booking.com was accurate in terms of informing us of this, and where to park. The location was perfect for us as it was easy to leave the car and walk around the small village and harbour, as well direct access to the coastal path. The views from our room were beautiful and the room was well equipped and very clean

    No complaints.

I stayed in Room 2. Perfect for me - small balcony with view of the harbor. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is very small, but modern. Not a complaint as they are working with a centuries-old building! I was there in mid-March, so things were pretty quiet. Breakfast was served in the mornings and was very good. Room was stocked with bottled water, tea and instant coffee. Location was perfect for enjoying the village and nearby walking trails. I would definitely stay here again.

Staying there in October meant fewer tourists but also meant a few less shops and cafes were open. Nevertheless, it was a good tradeoff. The need for a taxi from the station was expensive but, hey, what can you do?

Port Isaac was unbelievably beautiful and great to explore its narrow laneways and tiny houses. The pub was a standout, not only for the usual beers and meals but also for coffee. The Slipway was ideally located with staff who were always friendly and helpful,
