Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomStairs to get in the front door. Narrow and heavy doors to get in. No help from the first member of staff we encountered. The second guy did try to help but we had it sorted by then. The first receptionist told us there wasn’t disabled access except via a fire door he couldn’t open. This wasn’t explained on Booking.com. Luckily I was having a good day and was able to negotiate the stairs but it caused severe pain and affected my trip a lot. It is the only thing that would put me off returning.
The location is spot on! We were upgraded to a harbour view room which was beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful. Bed comfy. Bathroom spacious and clean. Shower excellent.

United KingdomWe can't think of anything we didn't like. Only slight negative was that some of the shower jets must have been blocked as you had to move around a bit to get a full stream of water, but not a big problem.
Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. An excellent choice of food at breakfast, happy to adapt the full English to whatever you asked for. We had a lovely big room at the front overlooking the harbour, with a perfect view of the Spinnaker Tower and HMS Warrior. Perfect walking distance to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Old Portsmouth, shops and restaurants.

Wonderful hotel, in a fantastic location, only a short walk to the station, ferry port and some wonderful bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel was charming and made us feel like we were on a proper holiday. The free parking was a godsend and the open air car park behind was very reasonably price for 24 hours. Breakfast was very tasty. There is a night porter so there is no issue with coming and going as you please.
