Parking is an issue. We were lucky enough the find on-street parking just around the corner.

Well, you can't beat the location as it's right on the harbour. The room was small but we only needed somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was good and everyone was friendly. I would certainly stay again.

Not much negatives to write home about! It wasn't high-end luxury, but we didn't want that either!

One-night weekend trip to Stonehaven from Glasgow. The Ship Inn is located in the old harbour, arguably the best location in town with nice seaside view and cosy surrondings. We had a pleasant and quiet room for the night (great value!), and a delicious meal in the pub/restaurant of the Ship Inn. Stonehaven is well worth a visit, and not only for the castle!

staff were very friendly and met all of our needs. We would stay here again, except we liked the town so much we bought an apartment down the street from the hotel.

We had the room with the sea view and it was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were fantastic and always trying to help. We also had dinner at the Inn and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend.

Great location. Very clean rom with water views of the harbour. Modern bathroom. Parking in street opposite. Dinner in pub was good with quick service. Breakfast options good, both hot and cold. Good wifi.

Pleasant clean modern room. Central, overlooking harbour. Good vibes - busy wee too and hotel with locals and tourists alike enjoying food, drinks, sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, Sups etc, family beach fun and beautiful views. Delicious evening menu. Super tasty breakfast too :)

No lift and I was at the top of the place, ok for me but would be a struggle for older people especially with cases, its an old building so visitors would need to specify they needed a lower floor

I had a sea facing room this time which was excellent. Good choice of food for breakfast and all very tasty and hot. Staff cannot do enough for you and the whole place has a very good atmosphere....pity it was for work!

Breakfast was traditional. Nothing spectacular but full capacity and I liked the avocado choice. A more healthy choice than the full scottish breakfast.

Would have appreciated not having double bunk beds taking up a third of the room space and obstructing the bathroom door. All the pillows were soft. Should be one firm and one soft.

No lift which is understandable in an old building - and the staff were very willing to help with cases, but staircases quite steep. Not a moan - just need to be aware.

Breakfast took ages to come once we ordered. When it did come toast was hard and food was nearly cold. Did not complain as we had waited ages.

The bed was uncomfortable. Like one big spring and very squeaky. If you need quiet, it's not the greatest. I could hear every word of my neighbors through the wall. I could also hear people at the pub downstairs until late night. But the sound of waves was wonderful after that. It totally depends how quiet you need to sleep. Bring a sound machine or something.

The single (room 2) had an amazing view of the harbour. The whole town is very walkable and pleasant. The restaurant was great. Food was wonderful. The staff kindly kept my bike in the staff room overnight for safety. Thank you!
