We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomDinner service was a bit slow, but the food was lovely. It was a shame that the steak special had not been wiped off the blackboard seeing as they had had a busy weekend and sold out of steak - when I ordered I asked for the steak special and my server was then told that there was not a steak in the house! The food was good quality and ample portions. Breakfast was a mixed experience. I was told to help myself to cereals, etc, but I was expecting a hearty, cooked breakfast. I asked if there was a menu, but there wasn't, so I just asked for a Full Scottish. I did also ask for some toast to be made because there was no fresh bread put out (what was in the bread bin was old and tired) and there was nowhere to plug the toaster in. It seemed as if toast could not be made in the main kitchen, therefore I told the server to forget about the toast and I would go without when no extension cable could be found. The cooked breakfast was very filling and enjoyable with the exception of the beans that were only almost warm.
I booked this accommodation because the location was very close to where I was working, and the fact that it was pet friendly. I especially liked the idea of having easy access to the garden from my room through a patio door. The parking for the Inn is just off the garden, so it was all very convenient. The staff were lovely and very welcoming to my little Cocker Spaniel who enjoyed being there. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant area and we chose to sit out in the conservatory as there was no-one else out there and my dog would be more settled.

United KingdomNo wardrobe, only draws and 2 coat hangers on the back of the door. Heating wasn't working but we had 2 plug in heaters so not cold. Large cruise ship pulled up right in front of our window for a day ( See photo) . Not the fault of the hotel clearly but wasn't great.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, made our wee cockerpoo so welcome. Food was excellent. Shower lovely hot rain shower. Room clean and comfortable. Was good to access iplayer on TV as rotten weather so back to base earlier than usual.

United KingdomI was given a room with a bathroom across the hallway. It was not a shared bathroom, but i had not been told this beforehand and as a woman travelling on her own, i think it is inappropriate to give this room to a woman. From what i could see at breakfast, there were only men staying there, and so this made me feel even more uncomfortable having to dress appropriately to leave my room and cross the hallway every time i needed the bathroom. Plus having to lock and unlock my room every time, via a push button code system, made this journey even more unpleasant. I would not have booked a room here had i known i would have a separate bathroom. I have stayed here before and had ensuite rooms. I would ask the team there to think more carefully when allocating rooms.
