I feel that their should be a separate part for the hotel stays walking into a busy pubs with bags while people were eating didn’t sit right with me the staff were over worked and stretched as they were with that food and pub side of things and this showed. The manager (young guy at night) was absolutely lovely and very welcoming and made us feel welcome and also ensured we got seated for food after our check in. The waitressing staff were a different matter myself and the group felt they were very rude towards us with walking past not communicating very well at all hardly gave a smile either just did not like their overall attitude towards us. If it hadn’t been for the manager making up for their lack of service we would have walked out, they seemed uninterested and did not seem to care very much, again this was made up by the manager who was excellent.

The property and the rooms were lovely, the pub and food part was very busy which was a good sign of a good quality with it being a small village. The rooms were lovely and the wee extras within the rooms are great and certainly did not make what you were paying for overall we were all very happy with the property.

Couldn’t have a nap late afternoon due to doors banging below, quiet when we returned late evening but started again around 7am the next morning (cleaners?) possibly because we were over the downstairs toilets….

Stayed overnight to attend a wedding reception close by, small double room, clean, good breakfast, staff nice. Had lunch which was nice.

Decoration was a bit tatty in places, could use a lick of paint here and there (although this is quite typical of English hotels anywhere I’ve found recently). Room was pretty warm and had no heating controls to turn it off. Had to sleep with the window wide open all night.

Step between bathroom and the room which you can easily stub your toe on. Baked beans weren't hot and the toast didn't see much of the toaster.

Fantastic to have a bath. Very clean, nice decor and comfortable. Located near to where we needed to be for that weekend.

The hotel would have scored 10/10 if it wasn’t for dirty carpet and marks on walls. You could see where someone had been sick by one of the rooms and carpet needed replacing, not pleasant to see. Walls in room had lots of marks a bit unpleasant.

I thought the food, facilities and breakfast were very good, however my experience was spoiled with very poor sound proofing in the room, I heard every cough ,shut door, flushing toilet, even conversations from other rooms all night long. Also about 3 am there was a loud and repeated knock on a door somewhere in the facility all in all I had a very poor night's sleep, which was a pity as all other aspects were very good.

Noise from Fan, especially in the morning. Unfortunately, this was quite loud from an early time. As our room was right over it maybe point this out at the time of making a booking should this room be offered to you.It certainly gets you up and down for breakfast l.

The room was described as a Double room on Booking.com but was listed a Small Double on the B&B's own list. Very limited space in the room for our luggage, and no wardrobe, just a few pegs on the wall

Perfect location for us as we were walking along the canal. Friendly manager. We were able to have our son drop off our luggage earlier in the day and it was already in our room, when we arrived . We had a pleasant dinner in the evening
