We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe restaurant has recently been awarded a much deserved Michelin Star and I have to say the breakfast was the best we've ever eaten. From its huge panoramic windows offering 270 degree views of lake Windermere the restaurant area has truly one of the most spectacular views on the planet. The hotels 'high up' location with its fabulous and extensive grounds, the interior design, the amazing food and the warm and welcoming staff.. a lakes stay just doesn't get any better! ..

United KingdomWe had a suite, which was adjacent to another small suite. There was an adjoining door from the lounge of our room, through which you could hear the guests in the next room....passing by/talking. This might not be a problem for most, but we'd have preferred a different setup.
On the whole, I'm hard pushed to find any fault with the hotel or service provided.

United KingdomOur fourth visit and each time the service has been excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the fine dinning restaurant not only great views but great food, not only does it have a Michelin Star, 4 AA Rosettes it won Best Boutique Hotel Restaurant 2023. We stayed in the Grassmere room with three windows overlooking the grounds and views of lake Windermere a large comfortable bedroom.

Hotel could provide better details/maps of walking routes in and around the grounds/area and some hotel souvenirs for guests who like us are staying there for a special reason and would like a memento. Book selection in library could be expanded.
Beautiful setting for breakfast in hotel restaurant. Attentive but not overbearing service. Quiet ambiance. Good turndown service. We enjoyed using the hot tub and walking up to the viewpoint/look out. Perfect location for a honeymoon. We stayed three nights and apart from a trip to a local pub, we didn't leave the site. It was relaxing and peaceful. Enjoyed the meal in the gathering restaurant as much as the Michelin starred one. Views were great from both restaurants.

United KingdomThis is an idyllic location on the eastern slope not far from Ambleside Jetty. The views from the hotel across Lake Windermere are simply stunning. Our room (Derwent Water) was very welcoming, comfortable and with high spec amenities.
