The room was very warm with no temperature control. The furniture in the room was a little dated and someone had marked the new carpet with a hot iron.

My only real gripe was that I was only supplied with 2 teabags and 2 small milk cartons which didn't last long and weren't replaced when staff emptied the bin on the first morning. The staff at reception were happy to supply me with more though it meant I had to go down there to ask.

My room was quite large and had a good view of Weston Bay. The shower was very good and the bed wasn't too bad. When booking, I requested that I not be given a room directly opposite the karaoke bar across the room and was pleased to be given a room far away from it as I'd had to endure noise from that bar on a previous stay.

Breakfast wasent that great, sausages not very nice, scrambled egg TO wet. The room wasent very clean, considering the price. The shower was over the bath, but the shower screen couldn't be moved to put the taps on for the bath, so you have to lean into the bath past the shower screen to turn taps on, abit pointless really. One of the headboards was broken

Perfect location for everything - beach, pier, town. Very comfortable bed. Restaurant food nice but abit pricey and slightly different to website menu, I think it needs updating online

Rooms facing the town can be noisy as you are facing some pubs with live music till 2am. Road traffic can be noisy.. Alittle dated in places. Needs tlc. The sofa chair in our room was very dirty needs removing asap. I would not sit on it. The furniture is old and needs replacing.

Location is in the town centre and very close to the beach promenade. Staff lovely, food is lovely. Staff very fast at responding to emails, etc. Beds were comfy.

Plastic glasses in the bar. When returning to our room there was lots noise from both hotel bar under our rooms and the surrounding bars. Which then lead to fighting and bottles being smashed under our window. We had 3 rooms which none of us including the children could sleep. On check out we were advised to booked a sea view next time.

The room was lovely but the noise was ridiculous we didn't have either night a good night sleep. You could hear everything from staff outside to music playing, people talking and shouting this was until early hours. Then about 6ish in morning you could hear what sounded like a industrial boiler on which was again very noisy

I have stayed at the Royal many times over a couple of decades. It is a well-run friendly hotel. It has not been ruthlessly modernised, and consequently keeps its charm and quirks of times gone by. Staff are helpful and very friendly.

Room 115 is right by an extractor fan which hummed constantly. Could hear it with ear plugs in !

The lighting in bedroom. Very dull overhead light and no bedside or over bed reading light. Either would have been nice and my over all score would have been excellent.

Good variety of food. Staff excellent, attentive and helpful especially Jodi? week day breakfast. Excellent bar menu.

Noise levels could be high at times.

The staff were fantastic and really helpful even getting my bags moved to my new room when changing from a single to a double for my daughter joining me . Nothing was to much trouble x the Sunday lunch was really good . Will be back soon hopefully x

Most was good but it was warm while we were there and we had a thick quilt on the bed....great in cold weather...

Hotel is right on the seafront, close to everything. We asked for a seaview room and were allocate the Princess Diana room it was very nice. there is a lift for those unable to use the stairs and also a free car park. The buffet breakfast was good and plenty of everything. We did not eat in in the evening but menu looked good.
